A small detail, but I’m very happy you’re reviewing with the Starlight color! Most everyone else has the Silver and Midnight colors, but Starlight was the color I was looking at!

It’s a good macos laptop definitely and mostly for youtubers. It doesn’t have military certification as Lenovo’s and nobody says anything about that.
But a laptop compatible with everything, including any game, with no compromises, get a Windows laptop.
I was looking for a laptop and after more than 3 years of looking hundreds of reviews, I concluded that apple was often incompatible, limited specs for entry level models, expensive, a notch, and comes with compromises.
Nice video by the way.

My problem with macOS is it just feels so damn dated now. It still can’t do good, native window management (Windows is way better in that regard, as are various Linux distros), the UI is just clunky and feels the same today as it did in 2010. The hardware’s great but macOS needs a total UX rethink.

my problem with the m2 isnt that it throttles, its that its just not better enough. i wish it had more battery life than performance gain, especially in the air

Only thing that I feel this is missing to make this an absolute perfect offering is to have the 120hz screen from the pros. Great for watching movies.

around 2011-2014 i was going through lots of phones and I never made a decision without watching the MobileTechReview video for it. Even a decade later I still don’t feel completely informed until I watch MTR

No mention of the typing experience. I imagine it’s the same crummy Magic Keyboard as usual, thanks to its pathetic 1 mm of travel distance. Between that and the lack of a matte display option, I just can’t justify buying one of these, unfortunately, no matter how good the color gamut is or how silent the laptop is.

“beats most gaming laptops…” I’m sorry , i’ve been a fan for ..i reckon a decade. This is the only time i’ve been given pause, before I get my pitchfork out, this is perhaps an editorial misstep. The context of the comment was around audio – if you are suggesting the device is better in audio, please confirm. Else, please confirm that this device outperforms dedicated gaming laptops, and if so, please provide comparable segments. This statement was broad.

Lisa, it attests to your no-nonsense appeal that in the first seconds of the video you actually held the laptop in your hands like a normal person would. I could actually see how thin it was, unlike other videos with fancy b-roll of it on a desk and not a casual view in your hands where you can notice changes better.
