Excellent video and recommendations. One thing missing in a lot in people’s reviews is the performance of those MBA (i3 vs i5) when it comes to video-conferencing (FT always good, but Zoom, Skype) – so massive nowadays. Hopefully, the fan does not start running. Is it consider a “simple task”?

I am watching this video on my 2020 MacBook air and I have no other apps open…The CPU is steady at 97°C and fans are at max. Just this video gets the CPU near the maximum.

I like the structure of your review. You mentioned XCODE, which is a first on many of the reviews I have watched. I keep looking for answers around which laptop would be best for a designer and or developer. In my experience, I use Figma, a design app. I might have a coding app also open and the terminal to run the local install of my saas app. In this circumstance, would an Air be okay, or do I need to look for a higher-end model like a Pro?

Hey man u just solved my confusion, i was confused between the 8th gen macbook pro and this 10th gen air , I just started learning coding so what would you suggest? I’m getting the 8gb model cause i have the low budget but would you suggest me this or the older version of macbook pro? Suggestion will be appropriated

I don’t know if I got a bad one but my new MacBook Air kept getting too hot and restarting. I went to the Apple store to get it checked out and all the specialists did was criticize the way I was using it- “How many tabs did you have open?” “Were you using google chrome?” I understand it’s for light use but if I can’t even watch YouTube and shop on Target at the same time without it getting hot then it’s not worth it.
Instead I recommend the MacBook Pro especially if you can splurge on the upgrade with two fans or the iPad Pro.

I am thinking of buying a macbook air laptop…. I like to use it for color correction to my photos with lightroom and a little bit of designing interfaces in adobe XD… will I have a problem if I buy the i3 model? should I check the one with the i5 processor?
