I realize normal tasks in a computer like using classroom while be in meet and google docs, I want to buy the cheapest 2020 macbook air but I’m searching for a computer that last from high school to university so I don’t know if it is going to last that time. What you recommend me? I need a macbook no pc, and my budget is like $900 🙂

100C, 1.4 GHz temp spikes when it opens a single page on a web browser, a CPU that doesn’t have a proper heatsink, all of this in the year 2020. And they sell this thing hands over fist.
You know, people eating up that $1000.00 monitor stand actually makes sense when you think of the people who buy this.

Sir I’m planning to buy a new macbook , I’m electrical engineering student . I use ardiuno ide , do coding on C , python , java , use PCB design software . I don’t do any video editing , use app development, website development.. I want a laptop which work about 5-6 years please suggest me between MacBook Air i3 2020 and MacBook Pro i5 8th gen 2020 , which is a better choice

Ahhh. I just purchased the i3 model but I’m indecisive 🙁 I don’t know if it would be better to change it for the i5. Would the i3 be fine with zoom (also sharing screen) for 5 h straight almost daily; having spotify or youtube running at the same time with 10+ tabs (safari) and a few pdf and word docs open; very very light video editing on imovie (if I don’t go crazy and try to download a heavier video editor for one single use, yeah it could happen)…? Or it’s not gonna be that much better bc of the heat🤔

Can I do coding on the MBA i5 model? I also have to do video conferences daily for my job so I dont know if I should get the macpro base model or the MBA i5. Other than learning how to code, video conferencing, I’m a light user.

I have the 2016 15” model and dare I say I actually love the Touch Bar. I find it faster doing most things (a lot of people seem to tap it twice to adjust volume and brightness etc but all you do is hold and swipe)

Could someone please help me if they can.
When I open my mac sometimes the trackpad and keyboard doesn’t respond at all. Ive tried the SMC and all that but it does not fix the issue. Could someone please reply to this.
