Hello Aaron… like usual, GREAT VIDEOS!
I’m an owner of a MacBook Pro 13” 2015 (2.7Ghz i5, dual core)… it was my second machine (my first was an iMac, and now a 2018 Mac mini, 6-core i7)… so, when this MacBook Air with 10th generation 4-core CPUs came out, I really thought THIS IS IT! The opportunity to upgrade my old MacBook Pro, but even if now I use it like a back up (although it is my girlfriend’s main computer), we usually use CAD software, 3D modeling (SketchUp) and some Photoshop too…so, I’m a bit worried about CPU Throttling… and I’m not sure if it would be better to go with the base model MacBook Pro 13” 2020 (although I really HATE the idea of buying an 8th gen Intel CPU in middle 2020).
I would appreciate any words! Thank you!
I really debated getting the MacBook Air, the Surface Laptop 3 or the iPad Pro 12.9”. After watching a huge amount of reviews, I chose the iPad Pro 12.9”. Sometimes I regret not getting one of the laptops but mostly I love the iPad.
So pretty much it has more memory and a better keyboard. Otherwise, the same product from 2012. Gotta love apple lol! BTW good and honest review.
I got a 2020 MacBook Air, with the i5 and 16 gigabytes of RAM. It replaced a 2011 MacBook Pro that a used for 9 years. I like this new machine a lot. I considered what I use a computer for and it seems like going with a 16 in MacBook Pro was going to be overkill. Even though the 13in MacBook Pro came out the Monday after I ordered this one, I kept my order and this computer is doing its jobs with no problems.
Gee, I go with max brightness, Chrome with a lot of tabs open
So basically would you recommend this for a college student who does mainly papers, research, and netflix??
We got our MacBook Air, the exact same model as this one you review, even the same colour. It arrived on Wednesday this week, I’m totally happy with it.
It was bought to replace a 2012 Dell PC which has become unusable. Very happy with the MacBook Air, it does exactly what we need it to do. The keyboard is nice, the display is really good, and we find it is fast in operation. Also the speakers are really good.
Not much more I can say apart from we are happy with this machine.
100 Celcius is now completely normal courtesy of Apple
the resolution is what i care about on the display on the macbook air so i can watch videos and see things in full hd resolution and can it run chrome
should i install chrome on this macbook
I will remember Command Q
Great Advice,
as always

Does it got hot when you use zoom? I have to do alot of video conferencing for classes and work, so it’s like to know.
your hands, HUGE!, it looks like a toy in your hands.
I still think entry-level MBP is better than the Air for people who need some performance. It can do sustained work (the air CANNOT), which is what many people need, and the 8th gen CPU performance is not far behind 10th gen, if not accounting for the graphics. The entry-level MBP even runs cooler than the high end one. It’s great for professionals or CS students with a budget.
is it suitable for programmers ?
Really appreciate the in depth review.
