You were saying you got around 10 hours of battery life off of a single charge correct? If so, how bright is your macbook air screen?
Web / iOS Dev with a base model Air M1 here. It is enough, the M1 is a BEAST.
I just bought mine and am madly in love with it so far. Great performance and awesome feel. Definitely my favorite piece of equipment I’ve ever used.
200th like. thumbs up 👆
I’m planning to buy the base model for my college and some creative works. But I was a bit confused. Thanks for the video. It just make things clear. I really appreciate it man. 💛
Hello! Love the vídeo! Very quality! Tell me one thing.. what is the maximum megas u can get with ethernet cable plugged in ? Cause I have 500 megas per sec and I wanna know if it supports it
Is it enough for a graphic designer who works mostly on adobe after effects and photoshop all the time??
I just want the base model for premiere pro , after affects and coding . Is its gonna enogh or should i go for a higher one ?
What I like about buying base models is that their resale value is pretty good which allows me to replace them sooner.
You can”t just bump up the ram….
‘Enough?’ – it costs enough!
Can I use my external hard drive to install softwares and applications, and run it on the macbook?
I’ve lately updated from my 2011 MacBook Air to the M1 and not regretting any penny that I have spent.❤️
Is it enough for video editing for Youtubers, as it has only 256gb ssd
I’m asking in a future proofing way
Please reply
Thanks for reviewing what I was looking for a long time
So glad I found your channel. Just sub’d.
Curious – you said you have experience “no slowdowns”. I had the M1 Air 8GB, now I have the M1 Pro 8GB, hoping it resolved my problem. I have experienced with both devices similar sub-par performance. Perhaps it’s my Windows bias, but comparing this to an 11th gen i5/8GB Windows Ultrabook, I find it slow. And I’m not just referring to apps that run on Rosetta 2. For example, if I have Safari on a desktop window and Outlook on another, sometimes (yet several times per day) when I switch between them with a 4-finger gesture, there is a noticeable lag. Like a stutter. I have experienced this at other times, such as using a 3-finger swipe up to look at all of my open apps – same thing: stutter/lag.
When opening Word or Excel, running on Rosetta, it takes 5-7 seconds. That’s double the time of the 11th gen i5 I referenced above.
Am I biased or is all of this considered normal for an M1 Mac in your opinion? Please note, a response would be tremendous. I have scoured the internet in search of a answer or at least someone else with this problem. I feel like re-installing Big Sur….
Great content! Thank you
How do you classify The Sims 4 compared to those ‘demanding’ apps you mentioned on the start? Is The Sims 4 among the “most use case scenarios” you had in mind at about 2:25-ish?
“Video creation software is demanding”….*laughs maniacally in solidworks and cad modeling.*
You use Spark mail app too!
This is the best mail app ever!
PS: I bought the Air with 16gb and 512gb ssd 8-core gpu. But still not received yet. Veeeery anxious 😬
