For modern Apple, it’s a step in the right direction as far as I am concerned. It’s an actual upgrade by the looks of things. True, I wouldn’t want such a device. But if I had to get a Mac and couldn’t afford the 16… it is certainly worth considering. If they apply the same design language such as the new keyboard, and no doubt they will, perhaps the 13 over all will be a better value.

When new products are released, I look forward to your reviews. They are always worth waiting for so I can be fully informed before making a purchase.

And you even included GeekBench 4 test results so I can compare to my current machine, which helps because I have not yet upgraded from version 4. Thank you for all you do!

I have a Lenovo yoga ultrabook. It sits in the high 70’s at 100% cpu on an 8th gen quad core i7. I really don’t feel like the temp limit should be used as a thermal management strategy on a laptop. If only the fan was connected to the heat sink I bet this MacBook would be much cooler.

Overpriced because no innovation…
Charging premium price in the name of apple..
Compare this with chrome book student edition.. tell us the battery life of that laptop…
They are just doing same thing which microsoft did it in 1990’s..
But good news for macbook owner. Now they can do the same thing with good battery life and 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔…

Anyone else completely lost interest in mobile tech because of the lock down? I excitedly got an XPS 15 OLED for my month long trip and made good use of it, but the entire year now it’ll go un-used mostly (I have a desktop). I’ll still be watching mobile tech review but all my purchasing recently (headphones, tablets, phones, laptops, bags etc. ) are all to do with travel. No travel, no buy!

I have been looking for a reason to move back to MAC OS and this… isn’t it. My XPS 13 9370 is smaller, lighter, and has a better resolution. The only difference I can see from the specs is 8th gen to 10th gen i7 chips and WiFi6. I will wait it out for another generation.

MobileTechReview I just thought I’d drop by your comments section and say my bit. I think you’re doing a grand job overall but not having a touchscreen on a mac isn’t a drawback. It’s a release from greasy fingerprints on my screen. Anybody who touches it can take a hike!
