You also don’t really need a stronger machine for video editing with premiere pro as it support proxies to render the video first to 1080p, edit those 1080p “shadows”, then the final render of the project will be the actual 4k footage.

I currently have a 2015 MacBook Pro (13 inch base model). The battery has begun to sort of crap out, and I’ve noticed general slowing down. Is it worth upgrading to this 2020 MacBook Air? All I do is word processing and listen to music, so I am not worried about performance/gaming.

Great video!
Would you still recommend MBA2020 when upgrading it to i5 16 GB,1TB (1800€). Or better take the newest MBP 10th gen. for 300€ more (2100€).
I am a student having writing a lot of scientific papers, having a lot of tabs open, sometimes ZOOM, 3-4 times a year Videoediting, love editing my pictures on basic programs. Longevity is my Maine priority! (6-8 years). Thanks a lot already!
