i will buy Macbook when Apple replace the stupid 3rd gen butterfly switch keyboard with a TOUCHSCREEN KEYBOARD. Here’s hoping they will do it on this year’s macbooks lineup in october this year

I actually got mine in space grey,256 gb for only 1200 since it was on sale at Best Buy! But they also had the 128gb version for $1,000 and I would say that’s a steal

Great review. Originally bought a new Razer Blade Stealth – lived with it for a week and kept have screen issues among other problems. Returned it (FYI Razer has horrible customer service.) Decided to go back to a MacBook and went with the Air – LOVE it. And the keyboard is awesome – love the tactile feel better than my 2012 MacBook Pro’s keyboard.

Good review. Was so close to getting one, but felt it was just too expensive for what you get and the issues with the butterfly keys don’t seem to be solved in the latest Macbooks. Such a beautiful device though.

You. can get a comparable windows computer for half the price. 2 ports are you kidding so get some dongles.No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American consumer.Get lost Apple.

First of all, what a great review! I’m currently looking forward to buy a new laptop. I’m unsure whether to buy this MacBook Air with 16 GB of Ram and 256 GB SSD or the 13″ MacBook Pro (without Touchbar) with 16 GB of Ram. There’s a price difference of 100$, and I don’t know which one to take. I’m a design student, therefore I do a lot of photo editing and video editing which is why I’m unsure…

I just bought a MacBook Air 2018. Can you do the RAM and SSD upgrade yourself? I asked Apple Support and they said nothing could be upgraded yet I see a lot of videos where RAM is upgraded from 8 GB to 16 GB and the SSD from 128 GB to 256 GB. Can you please advise or point me in the right direction?

what scares me off from any of these newer ones is that fact that the keyboards mess up with any little bit of dust. i had the 2015 macbook pro and wanted to upgrade to something newer but didnt have a choice but to buy the surface book 2, oh well. i do miss Imessage on my laptop.
