I would love to see them make the 11″ again.
QacQoc sells one of the port docking stations on Amazon!

It’s a pretty nice video for a 9 thousand subs channel. Keep it up!
I could here you talk for days keep it going
Macbook air 2018 is weaker in terms of performance when compared with Macbook pro-2017.
Air has a touch id, 8th Gen Mobile processor(hence better battery life) and third generation butterfly keypad though but in terms of editing & graphics, geek bench score Mac Pro 2017 is better.
They both are at the same price 2017 MBP( non-touch bar) and 2018 MBA
Advantages of 2017 Macbook pro-non-touch bar are:
P3
200 nits
20% faster processor
50% or faster GPU
Better speakers
And they weigh almost the same, and battery life is only a bit different
Especially if the non-touch bar pro gets an update any time soon.
I have the 16GB w/256GB SSD, also in “New Gold” or copper-gold as I like to call it. Anyway, There is a Satechi hub adapter in the same shade on Amazon now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KRQ6BCB/?coliid=I3C6XNKV3W1UAC&colid=2X56CQQXLQBUE&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it or you can buy it on the Satechi website for about $20 more. It’s one of the few hubs I’ve found that has 2 USB-C ports. One for power only but the other is actually useable. There’s also one by Wavlink for only $29 but no gold – it comes in Silver, Space Gray, and bright red. I found it on Amazon as well.
U really describes literally ever detail, especially on gold colour choice (i was concerned before this but not now ..i will buy gold one).one great thing is that u reviews this as daily usage persons which is good because I guess i am just a normal user not photo or video editing type. …so thanks for your review..I hope you soon complete your 100k subscribers.
I’am going to buy it 💁🏻♂️
My local apple store is selling the new Macbook Air and a refurbished macbook pro 2017 for the same price.. Which one should i get?
Nice review!
is 128GB model enough for you?
Thanks for the review!I i am close to decide buying this as a secondary laptop for my PhD degree (17″ heavy gaming laptop as my main one). I LOVED the color and its hyperportability. Do you think I will have issues on learning how to use a MacOS device?
Thanks for the really detailed and informative review, cleared up a few things for me and made me decide to buy it. Keep up the great content.
have you ever had any lag with your regular usage? Like when you are in safari and surfing the net. Or when you use apple apps like iMovie or GarageBand?? Im very sensitive with lags and i wanna know if MBA 2018 has some lags , so go for the Pro model… i heard from some owners that it has some lags even in web browsing … thanks man
Does the keyboard come with the new silicone protection and any problems occur with the 3rd gen butterfly ?
Thank you for giving your opinion and not just listing the specs like every other reviewer
Hi there! Nice vid. I have a model such like that I was provided by the company I work for. I’m amazed on how capable this computer is. I am a Graphic Designer and I trow a lot of not very complex files. All are opened and managed without no problems. Adobe apps on the very last version. I have had 6 different, 15 inch PowerBooks and MacBook pros and no regrets on the size difference to me. Keyboard feeling is great, trackpad is good. Love the TouchID, retina and the horse power is enough for my needs even on ocasional 1080p editing. The only drawback to me is charge time and filling myself with adapters. I need to be connected on ethernet, some USB thumbdrives, HDMI all at the same time. Sound is awesome!!!!
I’m a freelance graphic designer and using my Macbook Air 2015 mainly for photoshop, of course not the fastest but if you’re looking for something that just works it would be okay and since this latest macbook air is obviously an updated specs than the other old Airs I will definitely be fine using photoshop on this, however my only gripe is the ports…
Thanks – I enjoyed this. Interested to hear your comment re. photo editing on the iPad pro vs. this Air. I’m not surprised by what you said, but don’t you find the workflow on the iPad really cumbersome? – having to import into Photos and then into LR CC?
I have an old (2014) 13″ MacBook Pro which is nearing the end of its life, and I’m looking to replace it sometime soon. I’m retired so able to travel more (been to Singapore twice in recent years, and love it….), but also (being retired) don’t have as much money to spend. I like to be able to do initial photo editing while I’m on my trips. But airlines are getting stingier on cabin baggage allowances, and it’s a struggle to get cameras, lenses, laptop, etc, all within 7 kgs (I’m looking at you, Emirates). So I’m torn between the iPad Pro, even with the awful workflow, and a lighter laptop such as the MacBook Air.
Until the keyboard breaks…
