I am sure it’s a lot nicer than my MBA 11″ but that was $800 in 2014. I am not wed to Apple so I replaced it with an Asus Vivobook and got a nice 14″ IPS display, more ram, more storage, legacy ports and expandability. Gen-U-wine plastic but I’ll trade better internals for a lesser case.

Is it just me, or is something off with the audio in this one? My right speaker sounds kind of distorted. I’m not noticing anything in other videos though, so I don’t think its me.

While I was waiting for this review, I went and looked at the new macbook air and decided on a used 2017 macbook. I wanted very portable and the pluses on the air side were not worth the price to me. If I was not going for portable, I would have just gone for the macbook pro.

Not paying 1,000 for any laptop I cant draw on. Leaving Macs behind was pretty easy… And apparently the right move.

Please Lisa, don’t encourage the brand loyalty or trapped in ecosystem narrative.
I thought people bought Apple products because after 30+ years, they are a known quantity with a reputation of being reliable, durable, dependable and have a better support around them? OS and software with less issues, their approach to privacy. Plus between the two major OS, it is inevitable that people would prefer one approach over the other.

Typical Apple. Increase the resolution but kill the brightness. There has to be a negative. Don’t understand why they keep the non-touch bar 13″ models when they have such defective keyboards. Should get rid of those and let the Air fill that space with an upgradeable processor at point of sale. Good video. Thanks.
