My alienware M18X R2(back from early 2013) with optical drive removed and replaced with drive bay can accomodate 4TB in total storage.
Your reviews give me life.
Awesome review as always, Lisa. Thanks heaps.
What are your thoughts on how the new 13″ compares to the 15″ in terms of processor performance and battery life?
“That’s beyond the mac tax that’s getting a little bit……bfffvvvt” LOL. So true and so elegantly stated! well done Lisa! 🙂
Love your reviews as always, thanks from Ireland
Would rather spend the money on Aero 15x
it frustrates me so much that most so called tech reviewers barely seem to be batting an eyelid at the prices of the base models let alone the maxed out versions. At most they treat it as a funny joke like haha I paid $6000 for this computer guys LOL, and it’s like well ok but what about people who aren’t rolling in ad revenue? Isn’t the point of your channel to review tech objectively from the perspective of your average tech enthusiast who actually cares somewhat about getting good value? If we didn’t care about how much we were spending, we wouldn’t be watching their videos to begin with…
Thank you for actually providing a work around, the recommendation for how to deal with the heating issues if someone chooses to just keep the i9 version.
At this point can we just call it a ThrottleBook Pro?
Lenovo yoga 730 15″ next puuuuhleeease!
I thought I already subscribed to this channel..
Lisa, you are a joy <3
'Little condoms'
;P
Can someone asnwer a question? Is the throttling happening just with power hungry apps? I never edit movies… Just purely use Photoshop and maybe occasionally lightroom. How do you think this will effect those programmes?
Looks like trash to me 😉
I think the solution to all this is just get the i7 instead of i9. You are still gonna get the performance with no throttling and heat issues. Also you gonna save $400.
thanks, Lisa… please, I’m waiting for the Lenovo thinkpad P52 review… 😀
There are laptops running under 45w with similar performabce for half the price. As always, a glorified ultrabook.
As for gaming laptops with NVidea optimus I’m fine with plugging in for real performance for more than 4 hours of heavy use. On optimus this increases to 8 hours I the Gigabyte Aero which only weighs half a pound more than the Macbook.
Lisa, what laptop do you use as your primary machine? Is it still a Mac?
So disappointing that apple isn’t keeping up with those others.. they used to be great in everything.. If they continue like this, they’ll lose many customers :/
Overprice,overheating ,throttling piece of junk
