want the t-shirt!
How long does it take for the fans to turn on? The older models take 90 something Celsius to turn on–obviously, a way to cut short its life span and stay quiet at the same time.
Hey i have a question… do you think i can make the transition from a 2012 15inch retina to a 13inch 2018 (since the performance is pretty solid now) ?? I am wondering if i will have a problem with the screen size..i dont know
Great video thank u ! 谢谢!
Well done.
Come for the T Shirt. Stay for the review.
This is the sweet spot. The i7 version is FAST. Finally, an ‘ultrabook’ form factor that can keep up. The 15w processors were not cutting it for serious workloads. IMO: Apple nailed it here but fubar’d the 15.
OMG Lisa you crack me up when you said “it has its own little condom
$1800 for 8GB + i5. No USB and SD card slot but it’s a Pro laptop. Upgrade price is pretty expensive as well. Apple is crazy
very good review…!
4:30 Adobe Premiere is not optimised period.
I’ve upgraded to this mac book pro from my super 2012 old MacBook air I love it such an upgrade inside and out!
“silicon condom” hahahahah
This or the 12.9 iPad Pro. Just need something for youtube, college lecture slides, writing papers and creating powerpoints
Thank you for the clear and concise review. Trying to keep an eye on the competition on the overall best laptop so I know exactly which laptop would be worth getting. However, looking at some of the gaming laptops is a bit of a temptation for me.
I’m dreading the day my 13″ MacBook air mid-2012 becomes obsolete. I got it for cheap due to student discounts years ago ‘cause the shop I purchased the laptop from had previous year models. It has done great and it even survived when I accidentally a spilt a lot of tea onto the keyboard. The only major issues being was I had to replace the battery and trackpad after a few years.
Apple had already accidentally listed the MacBook pro-mid-2012 on the vintage/obsolete list so I know my poor laptop will no longer be supported soon due to having similar parts. 🙁
In my whole life my rock hand gesture have been wrong…
Finally a review of the model most people will actually buy (instead of the maxed out fully loaded one!) Thank you!
Can you do a smackdown with a completely updated (bios 1.4 also) XPS13 i7 9370? I get about 600 Cinebench on my 2018 MacBook 13 i7 and I recall my 2018 XPS13 being able to best this, but now my XPS gets just under 600 avg. There are reviews showing the XPS hitting 700 in ultra performance mode but I can no longer get anywhere close. I think it’s interesting anyway and would love if you think its worth a story why the 15W part actually used to be quite a bit faster even than the 28w part. I think the 13″ i7 is throttling like crazy and maybe that’s why apple never updated the line with the 15w chips…seems like a well cooled 15w would hand this chip its lunch.
would you give me that laptop?
LTE? Ethernet? Ohhh no…..!!! Love my Lenovo P52s sorry Apple ;)))) Macbook Pro is no PRO!!!!
