I have this laptop and use it for my main computer at home. I’m a late college student and sometimes carry it around when I go to places, but I mostly use my HP Pavilion x360 which is a much cheaper laptop. A lot of reviews say that the MacBook Pro would be really good for a typical college student (if you’re not on a budget) but honestly my HP does everything I need to do to write papers and access the internet. IMO the MacBook Air would be more suitable for college students.

I really do like my MacBook Pro though.. The build quality looks and feels like a $1.8k laptop. I just wouldn’t qualify it as a good laptop for the average college student.

Do you guys think it’s worth the extra 200$ for the touch bar model over the base (256gb)? I’m using it mostly for music production with logic

My brother bought one and is getting delivered on December 17 and is a 13 inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and 16 GB RAM i7 and 500GB he’s using it for college
