I’m seeing WAY too many comments from people thinking the 13″ Pro has a Core i9. No, 13″ MacBook Pros don’t have 6 core CPUs. The 15″ is what throttles, not the 13″. And just to be clear, the 13″ does NOT throttle when you hit it with a heavy load.

I disagree with the mouse comment. Ive done the mouse-on-a-tiny-desk life all of university and it was more productive for note taking than the trackpad, no matter how big.

The battery life you’re quoting is awesome. I get like maybe 5-6 hours of web surfing at half brightness – 3/4 brightness on my 2014 MBPr 15”. The battery isn’t ridiculously old either with 320 cycles. It’s never been that great honestly, my 11” MBA that my school assigned us lasts forever tho. Like 11-14 hours of safari and chrome use in mostly google docs and other things like that. I can go 3 school days without charging it, plus with its tiny battery it charges really fast.

Does anyone know if Macbook Pros are HDR compliant yet? I’m not too fussed about software not taking advantage of it yet as it can just be updated, but is the screen itself capable?

i prefer the MacBook pro without Touch Bar but considering buying this new MacBook pro.
So should i buy it or wait to see if apple updates the non touch bar version ?
right now i have a MacBook pro 13 late 2013

So it’s still an premium Netflixing machine. Great display, great speakers and good battery life. Could also be used by rich or spoiled studs at school. It’s simply a premium machine with the performance of an 500 USD Windows laptop. Paying over 1200 USD extra for the premium quality is only for the rich and spoiled. The 15″ MBP on the other hand is worth it for certain use cases!
