Can someone explain to me what is the reason of paying significantly more money for just a lower than medium video card (according to its power benchmark)? 0,3GHz of processor is unnoticeable, GBs of space don’t influence productivity. And, as it turns out, the video card that comes with the most perked MacBook Pro is, lets be honest, lame.

I got the 13″ model. $1500 for the i5 with 256 GB SSD with 8 GB of RAM. Its fast too. Of course a quad core is faster, but it is way out of my own price range to get it.

Great review! Wouldn’t have minded hearing more about the Iris Pro graphics, but still good overview. I’ve found the force touch haptic feedback track pad is not as reliable for drag and drop functionality. On several occasions I’ve tried to do it and force touch thought I was trying to do something else. It’s first generation tech – I probably should’ve gotten the 2014 model w/ traditional trackpad since that’s been around forever.

Strangely I ended up re watching this and I got puzzled why adobe premiere did not show up big improvements over Iris if Premiere is supposed to be CUDA friendly ? Dave; did you use the CUDA drivers or the out of the box drivers ?
