i was looking at recent macbooks with thunderbolt for use with an egpu chasis. i’m into the idea of my laptop doubling as a competent desktop when I’m at home. but it’s somewhat important to me that it have a dedicated gpu that doesn’t completely blow. it’s disappointing to have to go with asus or dell because I much prefer apple’s design, but they have nothing to offer in mobile gpu. alienware appears like the best option, but god that ‘gamer’ look is fucking awful

hey how did you managed 2 and half hours of gaming on Macbook pro?.. I have the Macbook pro 2015 with AMD chip .. I couldnot get more than 40 mins of Dota 2 on minimum settings. Any Suggestion would be of great help .

The M370X isn’t a rebranding at all.(I’m not an Amd fanboy) It’s the same core but it has other different elements.

HEY! Dave! What a nice video.
i am a student who is trying to choose one macbook pro 15. But there is confusion part when i choosing it. They provide some options like i7 2.2GHz , 2,5Ghz ,2.8Ghz, of course they have 300$ difference! i know that the higher Hz should be faster but is it worth to buy the 2.8Ghz . But do they have big difference ?

+Dave Lee I am a engineer who use more Autocad , Revit and sometime play with Photoshop and video editing . Would you recommend to get a 15inch as sometime I will be carry to site work or 13 inch 2015 is more worth for value. I am wondering shall we just wait and see what 2016 offer since I have no rush to buy it now. Hope to hear from you soon. Awesome Video!

Price sounds even crazier than Apple standards but they know it’s only for real pros who need it, so they can charge more. You don’t just pay the hardware, you pay the development of a low selling model. It’s sad but it makes sense in the end.

I use my macbook pro 15 for photo/graphic stuff and music production 🙂 its stable and fast! but dont by a mac for gaming!! you can do much better with your money if you look at pc/windows stuff. I dont miss the bullshit you get when windows gets in a twist!! you go around in circles on what virus software to install and what to do when some stuff screws up and gets buggy! some say Apple is overpriced but you do get less hassle! the bodies are solid and the screens are sharp! photos look great on macs

maybe a stupid question, but in the 2014, did you use the CUDA drivers or the basic drivers? I dont know own one, but I have seen videos where it makes a difference (i.e. Premiere likes CUDA).
