I guess you haven’t owned many Macbook Pro’s. I’ve owned 2 and each lasted well over 5 years. They are built pretty tough and solid and why they are worth the high price. I’ve been carrying the 2013 Macbook Pro around in my backpack and riding a bike for like 2 years now and never had a problem. Since the drive is SSD don’t really have to worry as much even if you drop it. Programs that support Intel’s Quicksync, which some Apple programs do, speed improvements can be up to 80 or more.

Hey +Dave Lee does the Witcher 3 actually play at 38 fps @1080p on medium settings? Would you say its worth buying for my Macbook Pro with m370x? Does it run smoothly?

Dave I can get the 2014 15″ MBP with dedicated graphics for $1799 and the 2015 for $2198. I plan on doing some photo and video editing using Adobe more than likely. At those prices, which would you recommend? I plan on keeping the computer for at least 4-5 years.

if against competitions , there is no chance in hell any technological person or engineer or businessman will buy such shit thing. MSI WS60 4k with nividia quadro k5100 and super raid 4 1TB ssd will make the macbook his own bitch, and it’s even better it runs windows 10 ,and it’s more secure and it’s just for 2500$ , WTF is wrong with the world ??????????

So when it comes about a brand new 2014 MacBook Pro with 750M and a one month old (used) 2015 MacBook Pro with M370X, both are $1,800.00 I chose the 2015 version, because it has faster SSD (2x as fast, with reading speed of 1800M/s and writing speed of 1500M/s) . But if the price difference is huge, then go with the cheaper one. It is not that you can only get things done with the 2015 version and you cannot with the 2014 version. Faster SSD and ForceTouch trackpad are the major attractive factors to me.

2015 MBP 15″ or 2015 XPS 15 960M? Build quality and hardware seems far more reliable on the Macbook (no screen ghosting, no shifty spacebar), but XPS has much better GPU. What do you think?

When playing games and doing heavy work for 3-5+ hrs, does the comp get alarmingly hot and loud? Those are my main concerns about this laptop.

I got the 2014 model(high-end 750M, 512gb SSD) for free back in March from Apple. I’m not going to complain since it was free and I still love it. And yes, it was free because my 2011 15″ mbp broke 3 times so their policy is a current replacement. 🙂

I went ahead with 2014 macbook pro 15 with nvidia graphics, but I am noticing video stuttering issues with when playing moves on samsung TV via HDMI ,55inch; I can play same movies older lenovo fine without stuttering fine, have you seen these issues on 2014 macbook pro 15 with nvidia graphics, thanks, would appreciate your reply back,.
