WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON ABOUT??? You can 100% find a better laptop than the Macbook Pro for 1600$ (And that’s including giving them the 400$ rebate thing you found “right now” which you usually don’t!)

Literally took me 4 minutes to find 3 much better laptops for less – using 1 site and not hunting for deals at all. Now if I spend the 2000$ which is the actual normal price of the Macbook Pro – the gap just widens to the double basically. Good luck outperforming an RTX 3080 with your M1 APU! Unless you REALLY want the Macbook Pro looking better by CHERRYPICKING VERY SPECIFIC benchmarks – benchmarks which has 0 relevance for real world performance – just these 3 curbstomps the Macbook Pro. And if you claim that the Macbook Pro feels better to use than the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16″ which i deliberately added here – then you are just wrong m8! Having extensive real life experience with both I can tell you that the Macbook Pro is more uncomfortable under load due to heat radiating up through the keyboard, the screen is more straining on the eyes (especially with the Lenovo in low light settings the screen is SO nice to use) and in many cases the performance is noticeably worse. Just stop shilling for Apple m8! I have to use both at work and it ALWAYS feels like a downgrade when using the Apple PCs/Laptops.

Seems like a fairly reasonable offering if you need a Mac and can’t buy one due to cashflow reasons. I can see this being particularly useful for people who want to get into iOS development.

dont get a 1000 dollar laptop if you cant afford one. If you realy need something you can easily get something that will do the job just fine for less then possibly even a 100 bucks or use public avaible computers when needed. even a half decent budget phone will get you realy far these days a cheap bluethoot keyboard from your closest dollar store can give you a lot. You dont need a mac book and if you do your work should provide you one. I get it sucks you have to scramble like that when you low on money but plans like this are the reason why people have issues getting out of low incomes in the first place. If you cant afford it something this expensive you dont need it

We used to have a chain of retail stores in Sweden in the 90’s where you could rent a TV, VCR, computer etc for 36 months. It wasn’t very cheap, but if it broke, they would repair it for you for free. After 36 months, you had the option to return it, pay an additional fee to own it or to upgrade to a new model. They went bankrupt because people thought it was too expensive compared to just using the credit card and split the payment for 12, 24 or 36 months.
