Bro- you just posted cringe! You are going to lose subscriber
would you buy this machine for using it only with Microsoft office / O365?
good
Lisa, thanks for the great review. Would you prefer the Dell XPS Oled for photo editing instead of an LCD like this one?
Lol I love her cat shirt 😬🤟🏾
This wasn’t your best video.. your forgot to mention you can upgrade it to 8 terabytes of storage for instance, and they next years I tel processors will have WiFi 6 built in and be on a smaller die, and will be when Apples laptops get WiFi 6.
Still not 4k display, not 100 Adobe RGB, it still has soldered ssd and ram DDR4 (not ddr5, still2666mhz like last year), and the screen is supershiny not matte and no touch.. I am not impressed, great speakers orh no so everyone still have to sit with a headset in an open office. So how does the USB-C work with a 4k display?
prediction for Macbook Pro 2021:
* has physical F keys
* has a socketed M2 SSD
i was half expecting Apple to put 128Gb as base storage config…. 😛
Great review. Agreed about the missing extension power cord — I want that in the box! Glad to hear the keyboard is better, but wherefore art thou UHS-II internal SD Card Slot? For now, I am still too pleased with my 2015 15″ MBP to upgrade, despite the performance gains.
There is absolute no point of going with 4k display under 20″ screen sizes. Especially in notebooks were battery life is important. QHD with 16:10 or 3:2 is the absolute best choice.
lack of WiFi 6 is super disappointing.
Imagine editing video off your NAS wirelessly without plugging in thunderbolt to 10 GigE adaptor.
If thermal is the bottleneck now, it will be getting worse and worse in the future. I wonder how much apple charges for internal cleaning or thermal repaste. Still, it is better than nothing.
As many others have stated, THIS is the review I’ve been waiting for!!!
That T Shirts Da 💣💋
You made us wait…but totally worth it. Thank you for the excellent review.
AN URGENT QUESTION
1st, was waiting for your review, thanks very much!
I need a new laptop and I’m torn between the 16″ MBP and Asus Zenbook Pro Duo. I’ve never used a macbook/mac OS before, have always been a Windowws user. Willing to change that. At the same time the 2 screens on the Asus sound like a great idea. However, post-sales customer service and product reliability are great factors as these are very expensive machines. The MBP appeals me because in case of any issues with it I can take it to any offiical store regardless of whether I’m in Europe or the US (traveling or moving). I’m not sure if Asus’s customer service will be equally good.
Will appreciate your guidance.
Finally, a keyboard fix. My 3 month old Macbook 15″ had a dead key after just 3 months. I still use the old 2015 Macbook next to it everyday and the 2015 keyboard is much nicer. Both have best in class, you really don’t need a mouse, track pads. Lisa is right about Apple people keeping the devices longer, and when it is time to sell, Apple products retain resale value and are easy to sell. I bought an XPS 13 with Linux earlier this year and could not “bond” with it and attempted to sell at half price received only one scam response. I’ll bet the 2015 Macbook would be gone in 2 days were it to be listed for sale. So yes, Apple is high priced and the hardware choices are limited, but their products do have some things going for them, butterfly keyboards being the exception.
The only problem with MacBooks now is the fact that it isn’t as repairable. But I don’t think Apple will never go back in that matter, they are implementing ways to lock your Mac completely to the point were if someone ever steals it, they can’t use it, it’s locked with an iCloud account and you can’t reinstall macOS. (Apple could use a separated storage space for it though)
The thing about the ports isn’t actually a problem, thunderbolt 3 is extremely powerful, and instead of having a lot of bulky, ugly and old ports, you can have 4 small and really powerful ones. Yes, if you need other ports you need a dongle, but I think it’s a small trade-off for having that many thunderbolt ports, try connecting 3 4K displays to a laptop that only has one thunderbolt and you will understand the pain.
Your reviews are amazing, Lisa. Thanks.
