10:13 what the…
When she was talking about the speakers, I was left to wonder what her go-to artist and song would be.
Great video!
well, this is refreshing. Loved the review.
There is zero chance I would ever buy a laptop without watching Lisa’s review of it first.
Has everybody just stopped using USB-A ports now?
Cause in my line of work I really need them. That and HDMI. I’m not about to go into this stupid dongle mentality that Apple thinks is so great.
I have to say I like that t-shirt 🤗
Hi Lisa, for mega tabs browsing (100-200tabs opened) and powering an external monitor. Which is most important between CPU RAM and GPU? Thank you.
What’s the point of an i9 if it throttles a lot.
Can you compare the new Mac to the Zenbook Pro Duo?. Currently trying to decide which to order since they are very similar specs and cost.
i like the cat t shirt more than a macbook
I love your shirt. Can you send the link for it. Please 😉
About Wifi 6 – Apple uses a triple(!) stream wifi card (I don’t think anyone else does) so maybe there’s no wifi6 version of that out yet plus the performance because of that is still excellent. Think that’s worth mentioning.
Excellent review as always 🙂
Yep, still the best tech reviewer on the interwebs! Fair, unbiased, honest, and thorough. Just what we all need! My only real disagreement is more an opinion about touchscreens – NO! Please, no touchscreens on Macbook Pros… I can’t wait to see how the 14″ will be next year, as the 16″ is too big for me. Nice to see Apple finally listening to customers.
If you have a Razor 15″, or Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme, and many other Pro Laptops with 2 SSD slots, of the last few years you have always been able to have 8TB, for about $800 retail.
Apple charges $22oo wholesale and keeps your base amount, and if it ever fails, you need to replace the whole mother board and you cannot keep it when you sell the computer, and the new buyer maybe able to retrieve private files and personal info, even after you securely erase it.

And you have the Choice to use them in raid to boost performance up to 6000MBPS or for security one drive to copy the other, or for the best performance, to have your apps and os and frequent files on one and your storage and large files on the other.
I do give it to Apple for being among the first to offer 8GB from the factory though, even though those with the macbook Pro from 2011, have had that ability by simply removing the dvd drive, and adding a 4TB there, and removing the main ssd and adding a 4tb there
Kurrrflooooey LOL I love Lisa
Wait Steve Jobs left? I didn’t know that…
the cheapest one starts at ~2700$ where i life
These GPUs are significantly faster than Lisa suggested in her comparison. The 5300m is much faster than the Vega 20 the 5500m is almost twice as fast as the Vega 20. Roughly equal to a 1650 and 1660 Ti respectively, but on the low end of the range like this, AMD is about 15% more power efficient.
Do you think this model is good enough to do some 3D with Cinema 4D or Blender?
