I thought this was gonna be $1500 at least.
he said most people aren’t using SD cards nowadays anyways. lol…. so all the dslr, mirrorless, go pros, drones, android phones don’t use SD cards?????
We need modular laptops, not these impossible to upgrade yourself. Only to upgrade RAM you have to buy a new computer! It doesn’t make sense.
No oled, notch, + thermal throttling from no fan = pass
This is going to be a best selling machine, this might be the replacement of my power hungry
16 Intel MacBook pro late 2019 which I still love and it works well
Once you add more ram snd storage you are in Pro territory at 1,599 when I think somewhere they got the 14″ M2 MBP for 1,750.
Your mom does not like that mac
Typing from the new 15″ MBA. The keyboard feel is different from the 13″ MBA M1, and I can’t say I like it as much. Other than the keyboard feel, I love this thing over the 13″ MBA. The extra screen is much appreciated. And it’s not that big that transport would be an issue. Yes the 13″ is ultra portable, but the 15″ is not overly big. The speaker sound is a noticeable upgrade. I love the longer, my flexible charging cord, too. I will miss the portability of the 13, but not the screen size. Time to upgrade the leather bag to fit a 15″.
Perfect? The missing possibility to run natively two external monitors (not even with a docking station) is a huge dealbreaker… otherwise it‘s a great device and the lower price is a very good thing.
I just got the 13.6 M2 MacBook Air, with 16 gigs of ram memory, and 512 SSD storage. This is my first laptop, and I love it. I’m used to high end Dell desktop. My last Dell had Windows 7 pro with 2T hard drive, cause I used to have a website, and built my own web pages. That’s why I upgraded. Another reviewer, played music to check speakers, I think it was terrible, very muffled. I like the sound on the 13 inch. Only the 14, and 16 inch pros have the best sound. But, that’s just my opinion.
Great review
It would have been perfect to brand it as just “MacBook”. Anyway, it´s an amazing device.
PEN15
I’m on the fence between the 15 inch Air and 14 inch Pro, both would have 16 GB Ram and 1 TB SSD. The price difference is $300. I guess it will come down to the difference between the screens on the two. Great vid!
Does this laptop have a better cooling system?
I am going through a career transition into UX/UI with front end. I am a former architect so I do so some freelance 3d modeling & rendering. I am torn between upgrading to 24gb RAM + 256 SSD or 16gb RAM + 512 SSD. Can’t do both cos then I might as well go for the basic MacbookPro 14 for 100 bucks more. What config would you recommend?
Here is my own experience with the MBA 15″, compared with my MBP 16″ M1 Pro: Display, noticeable lesser quality than the MBP, Speakers, if the MBP is a 10, I would rate the MBA as 6 or 7 Max, Keyboard, MBP has an edge too, importing large RAW files into Lightroom abot the same performance (I was surprised on this), browsing net using Chrome and any other light tasks, no difference, portability is great , my major reason for getting the Air for travel and avoid lugging the MBP 16, all in all, not prefect, but, very good compromises
There compare to old 13 inch Intel Air was brilliant reference to explain the side considerations. Great recipe!
The laptop is not powerful enough to drive 2 1080p displays.
Giddy 5 year old on xmas morning.
