Holding out on an upgrade from intel silicon until Apple finally gives the Air dual monitor support. Honestly will probably just get a Framework next year though since Apple prices and support are terrible.
what is the name of that music you played to test a sound has great vibe…
15″ is bigger than 13″
only Dave can pack all important info, features and cons in a short video
It’s one of those times I wish I had some use for an laptop so I could get this, but I would just use it at home hooked up to an external screen and mouse and keyboard. I might as well keep using my M1 14” MacBook Pro for that. I think it’s going to last me so many more years.
I have the mac mini m2 512GB +16GB Ram and I think it fits all my needs perfectly as a semi pro video editor who games on the side. No Mans sky just came out for mac and it ran buttery smooth on it at 1080p ultra settings. My Macbook Air M1 couldn’t reach good enough frame rates for me to game on the side with it. I hope this one has simillar gaming performance as the mini m2. Its kindda exciting since Apple is starting to take gaming a bit more seriously. Not that i plan to game seriously on the mac, but at least if I do game, the performance is satisfactory
My biggest concern with these fan less devices is how they last in the long term. Since they can heat up easily without anything cooling does this not damage the device?
Apple making 10x selling 8 GB RAM for $200.
I pre-ordered this but dang I might opt for the 13 inch instead
2023 and 8GB memory… it just doesn’t add up
actually i want something SMALLER.
and i’ve wanted it from the death of my beloved 11″, which had a kinda horrible display but awesome dimensions.
the best thing i’ve ever had between two economy seats.
the best thing i’ve ever had in a backpack with its 1 kg weight.
now apple decided that if you want portability you must have that disgrace of ios shoved down your throat, and while i find my MBA M1 ok-ish i’m still orphan of a small and portable proper laptop.
if i want something larger i can very easily airplay my mac on a 65″ tv…
Love the hair
Midnight is the only acceptable color.
The reason that the sound is so much better on the 15″ Air versus the 13″ Air is that the 15″ model has 6 speakers, which the 13″ has only 4. So they are making use of the larger chassis to provide more speakers, therefore you get better sound.
This is the device that I have been waiting for years to get. I just need to see it in the store and pick it up and handle it before I decide 100% to pull the trigger.
An issue no one really mentions about the hard drive size is how a 256 just fills up simply because of the size of photos and videos these days. And even regular work apps like Office and a few others help to fill up a 256 quickly. If you are someone that does NOT want to plug in storage devices ever, even an average non-pro user is going to have trouble with a 256 in the end i think. And when you put that idea together with needing to get 16gigs of Ram, the 14 inch pro starts to look good as a longer-term option.
I need a 15″ Windows laptop that matches the Mac Book Air performance. Any recommendations?
2TB Good samsung nvme (980 PRO) storage costs ~135€
Upgrading from 256GB to 512GB on the macbook air costs 230€
The hell is apple smoking?
So your hairstyle is permanently set to be like this? 😦
I know it’s technically more screen real estate, but that webcam hole annoys the crap out of me. I rather just not have the webcam, than have a ugly black box.
The biggest problem of non pro models is the screen brightness. It is just enough for everyday use, but in a little challenging scenario they fall flat.
