It’s really amazing thing 🎉
This laptop has been my first ever laptop and I absolutely love it. This is also coming from somebody who used to dispise apple.
Does it get very warm when you are putting it through heavy duty tasks? Thank you for the excellent review.
this youtuiber is a scammer. He cheats subscribers money. Beware old him
as for glossy or gross keys definitely buy a keyboard cover, right? When I sold my 7 year old Macbook pro its keys were immaculate due to that cover
There is one per houre of these
In the UK this Air is £1799 for 16 GB and 512 GB SSD. The refurbished 14in M2 Pro is £1829. As the three-year owner of a refurbished M1 Air, this really is an easy choice. Go Pro or wait for the new Air to hit the refurb store.
Stop bitching and whining about the base models performance, performance that less than 3 years ago would have been unimaginable on Mac. Anybody looking for a Macbook to do heavy lifting buy a Pro.
I feel like these videos over emphasise the downsides of this laptop/chip, it’s fast and sure if you get at base model, maybe if you also own a more powerful PC then you’ll notice some throttling but for most tasks you just won’t.
The laptop is excellent and only “slow” for specific use cases. I used a core i5 2017 MacBook Pro for 3 years at uni and it did everything fine, it overheated but it was fine for all that time, snappy etc. this laptop would be even in its base config a massive leap over that and it’s not gonna be horrendously slow or laggy at almost anything.
To say this is a bad laptop for anything other than specific use cases or actual pro users is ridiculous and to be frank I’d have killed to have had something this good for Uni.
You have no idea, the computer has no competition on the market. the basic model will be more than satisfactory for 97 percent of people, and the rest who need it for professional computer very demanding work will buy an upgraded model or a pro model. The computer is incredibly good. To make it easier for you to understand why I wrote this, buy a computer of the same price from another brand or a more expensive one, and you will see what I’m talking about. Other brands are far behind and do not match the quality and performance
saw a russian keyboard. are u russian?
I need help, I currently have a 2019 16 inch Macbook Pro with a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i9 processor, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 RAM, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB.
But I do a lot of video editing and retouching with Lightroom and sometimes it blows a lot.
Is this 15 inch macbook air better than mine, despite the fact that it only has 8gb of RAM and is in the “Air” range and not “Pro”?
the backlight bleed is awful. I exchanged mine and still had the same issue before I realized it’s because of the shitty lcd panel apple uses. It is a common issue and is all over reddit. you can google it; it really bothered me so i went with the galaxy book 3 pro 360 and feel like i am getting more of my moneys worth now.
It’s very very impressive and the fact that I have the 2020 Intel i3 MacBook Air and upgrading to this MacBook Air M2 15 in 2023 , im definitely going to excited when I get it since it will be my first MacBook with the new M2 chip when I never had an M1 chip MacBook so it’s going to very interesting but yet excited for the performance and customized it with 24GB RAM/256GB SSD
its 2 additional woofers, not tweeters
First, having watched so many of these review videos, I don’t understand ever comparing an Air to a Pro but I guess it has to be done for people who don’t get the obvious differences. Seriously apples and oranges. But from having to lift the weight of the pro for years (yes it’s an old chunky Pro, but aren’t most of them?) and not needing it for any heavy work, it’s bye-bye Pro. I love my Air 15, also have the 13 for comparison. And I’m glad it doesn’t have the dust collecting speaker grills, doesn’t look weird to me at all, looks nice and minimalist (btw IMHO sound is great). It’s amazingly light, that I love. Granted I’m not a content creator, I just use it for simple tasks. But I really don’t understand the negative reviews because the Air doesn’t do what the Pro does. I actually watched your video twice to try to understand your title of…”My Biggest Mistake”. yehh…it’s not a Pro. I think the average person will love it.
Bottomline: upgrade to 16 gigs of ram.
I saved you from watching the whole rant
I would have to disagree with the downsides you mentioned about out growing it, im a freelance artist, and I work in files over 8k and with hundreds of layers, and I have the base model 13 inch M2 Macbook air, 8GB of ram, and while I was concerned about that, the swap memory works amazing, and makes up for it, I did get the 256gb model, which I would have preferred the 512GB but my main pc had failed, and I needed something fast, on a tight budget, and eventually just got a external ssd, but the mac is flying through all my tasks, even editing in 4k, I record, and edit in 4k for timelapse videos, its perfect, maybe if I was editing 8k with LUTS I would have issues, but the mac outperforms my main desktop pc now for workflow things, My pc is a gaming pc so not directly targeting workflow, but its still pretty hefty, with a ryzen 5 5800X 3D and a 2080ti. and 32GB of ram
All of the negative things he says won’t apply to 90% of users
I will happily wait for M3, 16GB RAM, 512GB faster SSD in the base model. In 2023 for $1300, we should be getting these.
