I think a MacBook with a bigger screen and bigger battery could be appealing. If they stuck a Pro chip in and a fan to eliminate the thermal issues. It would be more than powerful enough for most people and have the option for extra screens.

It will be a great alternative to the 13” MacBook with track bar.

I am 100% interested in & am waiting for a/the 15-inch MacBook Air. However at this point, I want it to be running with the M3 chip & not M2. (Since M2 is such a minimal upgrade over the M1 & it appears & seems like the IMac will be skipping the M2 & jumping to M3. I will be buying both a MBA & an IMac & I want them both to be running the same series chip. If the 15″ panels aren’t going to start being produced until the 1st Quarter of 2023, I wonder if Apple will hold off on the release of these until WWDC in 2023 with possibly & hopefully M3 at that point? Here’s to hoping.

The greatest thing about a 15” air will be the much better speakers! And bigger battery and of coarse bigger screen.

If M2 Pro remains on 5nm, I wonder Apple may increase the base peak brightness from 500 to 600 nits and either add Face ID or shrink the notch. Ram should be upped to 300gb/s and 600gb/s on Max, HDMI 2.1, newer Bluetooth, wifi 6.. maybe cellular connectivity? It would be wild to have the base ram be at 24gb since that’s the top of the M2 Air ram options. Base storage upped to 1tb would be a dream. But really, without a significant chip upgrade (15% single core, 20% multi-core or more speed increase), I feel like they have to give us a reason to buy this. If they gave us those options on 5nm with even just a $100 price increase.. that’s a reason to buy M2 Pro. It’s like getting $600 worth of ram +storage for $100.. so probably won’t happen, but some of this will be nice. They need to at least increase something as being standard, either the ram or storage. Otherwise it’s really not much of an improvement.

Maybe Apple will make the m2 pro MacBook Air 15 inch have lower end m2 pro SoC, so, not as hot as a full power version ?
So that apple can draw a line between 15 inch air and 14 inch pro ? And also, m2 pro air can power 2 displays for this is M2 pro SoC.
Hope it come with SD card reader
