I decided to jump the gun and buy the MacBook Air 15 inch but with 24GB RAM and leave the 256GB SSD since I have an 5TB external hard drive and seems people worry too much on storage due to only 1 chip which I get but after seeing so many videos and YouTubers doing “benchmarks” cause I don’t think I’ll see any difference in the SSD and I’m sure it can run very well with a lot of applications and especially having a gaming monitor so I don’t need a Pro MacBook, yes people will say I should have gone with the Pro but people underestimate how good the M2 Air is and it’s portability, I’d say if you love the M2 Air, go for It, just make sure to get more RAM whether it’s 16 or 24GB rather than storage

Starting infosec in July and I’m looking at the 13/15 MacBook Air or the 13 MacBook Pro. What would you recommend? How is the chassis flex on the 15?

The Amazon price is good but no customisability. I’d never recommend 8gb unless you’re keeping this short term. If you wanna keep this for i say 3 or 4+ years you need 16gb for the longevity. 256gb is fine as for less then the upgrade to 512gb you can get 2-4tb external SSD’s. Slower sure, but better value for money. I got a 4tb drive for like £190 on sale a few months back and it will be my go to storage for any projects on the 15″ air.
