Lisa, Can you list what sad is used in this, I just bought one 2017 and it has SM0256L and read speed is 600 and write 1700 nowhere near what you show. Is it possible there are different models? Its 1/3 to 1/4 the speed of yours

On the price, Apple products haven’t gotten more expensive in real-terms, only nominal-terms becuase many currencies have lost their value relative to the USD, e.g. GBP and Euro. Apple increased its prices across the board to reflect the change in the local exchange rate. Also, most countries require prices to be shown including tax (VAT), which is ~20% in most of Europe. Once you convert the prices to USD at the current exchange rate and subtract the tax, you will find that the price difference with the U.S. almost dissapears. At any rate, if you are visiting the U.S. from abroad, it is definitely worth buying one there as long as you can live with the different keyboard and it wouldn’t hurt apple to drop the prices by 10-15%. These are definitely pricey machines. 😉

No USBs, no SD-card slot.. who the hell is buying these rediculously overpriced MacBook Airs disguised as Pros???? Don’t get me started on that rediculously gigantic trackpad which has no use what so ever!!! No replacable SSD’s/battery/RAM.. what a fucking JOKE!

I don’t understand why people are still crying over USB-C. You don’t need dongle hell. Just use the proper USB-C cable for the peripheral you are using. And the fact that one cable has the power and throughput to handle pretty much anything you’d need… You can just use a Dock or external HDD Raid that has SD cards, USB-A and DisplayPort built in. Get used to it.
