Radeon 460 actually has got 186% of the performance of the 450
How about battery life issue ?
I don’t get how most reviewers say the same thing, you will need a lot of dongles. You don’t need dongles, you need new cables.
Hey Lisa, If I’d be buying the MBP 15″ 2016 with this config, would it still be reliable for video editing using FCPX? (Or should I just consider the MBP 13″ version)
2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, 3.5GHz
16GB 2133MHz memory
*256GB PCIe-based SSD (I’ll buy an external drive instead)
**Radeon Pro 460, 4GB memory (maybe the only upgrade I’ll pay for?)
I often get my video clips from my GoPro set at, 1080p and 4k all the time and I also use Adobe Lightroom for my photography using raw files.
So considering these factors, should I get the 15″ or the 13″? What should I upgrade for my needs (if I need to)? Thanks!
Have to say I have an Early 2008 MacBook white, Late 2008 15″ MacBook Pro, Mid 2009 13″ MacBook Pro, and now a fully decked out Mid 2015 MacBook Pro 15″, and the only one I had issues with was my early 2008 MacBook Pro that had the Nvidia card that burned up my Logic Board. I traded my Late 2007 MacBook Pro 15″ for the Late 2008 model, and glad I did, as they solved that issue with the Nvidia card. So I understand your qualm about not being an Nvidia card, but I think Apple doesn’t want another issue like the Early 2008 models. Overall I really like your reviews, and find them the best out of of the junk on YouTube. Seems to be straight cut through. Thank you.
The AMD would not have any affect on Final Cut Pro, correct? I’m not really computer savvy.
I need help deciding which MacBook to buy. Should I go with a 13inch MacBook Pro 128GB for $1,299 or a 12inch MacBook 252GB for $1,299?
where do you get the thunderbolt 3/usb c to display port adapter?
Hi Lisa, Would you buy the 2016 13″ MBP or the early 2016 13″ HP Spectre x360 with OLED display for photo editing, general computing, movie watching?
Lisa I am trying to decide between getting the 2016 MacBook Pro 15 or ordering the new 2017 XPS 15. Can you discuss the difference in performance between the Radeon Pro 455 in the MacBook Pro and the NVIDIA 1050 mobile graphics card is there really a big difference in performance between the two? Also have you gotten used to the keyboard I tried one in a store and it was uncomfortable but I think in time it might be ok but curious to see if you ever truly got used to it.
I am looing to do engineering in college what laptop would you recommend surface book or MacBook pro? Also what specs would you recommend? I am also thinking about the razer blade.
Hey lisa! Can you do a 3months later macbook pro 2016 15 review? I really want to know if they improved battery life and etc. thank you so much!
love my old 2015 model!( the same model Lisa has) 🙂
Hi Lisa! Did you notice some ui-lag when using the integrated GPU (HD 530)?
Hi Lisa, thank you so much for doing this excellent review. I would love to get your feedback on which MBP I should get. I am a freshman of computer forensic/ information security, and I am considering buying the MBP 2016 as well, but I am not sure if I should get the 13in with touch bar or the 15 in with touch bar. I will mainly use it to run VMs (Windows, Ubuntu) for now, and then replicate attacks on protocols, etc… down the road (I don’t know how those software work yet). Also, I will use Adobe Suite (mainly Premier and Photoshop) for some light video and photo editing, but I am not gonna use it for gaming at all. I have a budget for the 13 inch now and I could save up for the 15 one in 2 months. Thank you so much in advance!
Tri.
I hate touch screens. Many people hate touch screens.
What are the Geekbench scores on this thing? Also I am a graduate student and I am planning to buy a laptop for around 1300$ in and around June..I have been fed up of using Windows machines because of their occasional lag and crashes..my only concern is processing power as I’ll be running a lot of CPU intensive softwares on it..should I go with something like the xps 15 having a quad core Kaby lake or similar laptops, or a macbook 13 inch with an outdated Broadwell CPU?
The graphics performance is dreadful! The new Dell 900 dollar gaming laptop with the 1050 Ti is twice as fast!!

Apple just fucked its customers. This is SAD
