That’s what I call professional review. Good job.
4:45 Is that MultiBeast?
Well, Apple has officially lost me, no SD reader? Are you kidding? It can’t take up that much space. Lame
It’s becoming a huge iPhone.
🙁
Apple only cares about one thing, it’s called profits.
If I buy a new laptop it will have replaceable RAM and SSD and even easy removable battery.
A good laptop will last ten years providing you can repair and upgrade.
That new Macbook battery has so much crap glue on it that it is impossible to remove it without piercing the battery and it will then catch fire.
It even makes the laptop impossible to be recycled.
It got a repairability score of 1/10 by the way, everything is soldered to the main board, so one failure of a USB port or RAM or SSD and you need to scrap it.
It is also way too expensive for what it is.
I’m still using a ten years old Toshiba laptop that I paid $2000 after upgrading RAM, replacing HDD with SSD and installing Windows 10.
Quite amazing.
Try to do that with the Macbook Pro 🙁
Touch bar is a lame gadget.
That keyboard travel is pathetic and way too noisy.
Donglegate is so annoying.
It’s got a nice screen but it could have been a touch OLED screen for that price.
Enough ranting.
I know lots of you are dying to get one, because Apple says it’s the best as always.
You’re free to spend your money where it pleases you but I’ll never get one.
Oh, don’t forget to buy that amazing table book for only $300 at the same time!
But there’s a USB c sd card reader. I’ve been loving my laptop, I’ve been using USB c for awhile so it’s no big deal to me.
you just need one dongle, look at ijustine
I’d get it if it had gtx 1050/1060, their old keyboard and normal size trackpad. The screen is really nice.
Next gen: you need an adapter for screen
Can you please donate one of those lovely notebook on your notebook shelf. Or that lovely macbook that you’re reviewing. Please help this poor uni student..
I’ll wait until my old MacBook is 4 years + before upgrading
In my country, Slovakia , i can get MB pro 13″ 2016 for 1700 euros. MP pro 15″ 2015 costs 2000 euros. I like the bigger screen but i like the trackpad , keyboard , design and brighter display on the new model. But i am not sure which one is really worth the money. 15″ gets 16 gigs of ram and quad core CPU though. I plan to use this ntb for java script programming , unity programming and maybe some video editing. And media consumption of course. I am planning to take my ntb with me every day to school and to library. I got secondary monitor 24″ at home but i prefer to work in library or cafe because it makes me more productive. Not sure if i want more portability or bigger screen screen real estate. Thanks for help.
Overall, would you recommend buying this laptop or not? If you didn’t had any previous macs before? Thank you for your answer.
Intel 6700HQ gives around 3300 single core score for windows machine.
people waited a lot of time just to be dissapointed. not pro, all gimmik
Apple lives somewhere in 2030 where everybody is asking them “Why the hell are they still using USB Type-C? There are many successors already in use!”
Like seriously. They are marking THIS UGLYNESS as a Pro product? Maybe the Pro stands for Product not Professional… That would explain everything.
Macbook Chic is a good way to describe it. Actually, that is what they should have called it.
Really looking forward to the review of the new razer blade
Thank god I bought the mid 2015 model year ago and didn’t wait for this overpriced weirdo
I would buy the old model.
Also… Where is the damn Kensington lock slot?!? Apple seriously doesn’t care by the slightest about the consumer.
