Love the new M2 Air series look and feel wise, but 8 gigs of ram in a 15 inch laptop in 2023 is downright crazy. 😅

I think the conundrum for many of us is this: The base model 14″ M1 (pro chip) MacBook Pro can still be had at some retailers for $1600 (occasionally even less).
That machine is not only superior to the 15″ Air in every way, it’s actually cheaper (15″ Air with equivalent 512 GB SSD /16 GB RAM = $1,700).
The _only_ caveat is that the M1 MBP buyer will receive 1-2 less MacOS updates than a 15″ Air owner (the M1 MBP was a late 2021 release).
Decisions, DECISIONS…!! 😩🤣
