I actually miss the touchbar 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
it is actually 1mm thinner than the 13″ MBP, which makes it the thinnest MBP to date. but the tapered edges give the illusion of a thinner design on last year’s model
Does it make sense to invest in extra Ram to achieve longevity? Or will 16GB be enough for the foreseeable future? As you can guess I’m not a very demanding user. Longevity is one of my priorities, owning a 2010 MBP currently.
*Thank you* for reviewing the 14″ base model. Everyone else just seems to be focused on the ultra-expensive versions. Gonna get the base model for myself – I’m looking forward to the 120Hz screen. RIP touch bar ;_;
On 5:36 you try out the keyboard, it looks like it flexes a bit. Is this an illusion (the camera jumps a bit) or is the keyboard deck actually flex?
Great review. Love the channel.
Hi Lisa, Thanks for another excellent review. Nice T Shirt. I use photoshop with some hi-res (500-megapixel composites) photography only 10 times a year, I have a total of 100 such photographs and I may do another 100 in my lifetime. What do you recommend 16 GB Ram or 32 GB ram? If I am spending 2500, I also care for longevity. I should be able to use this laptop for another 6-7 years without any slowdowns. I am ok with spending another 300 for an additional ram. Will the fast speed of SSD take care of my needs for the next 6-7 years?
I will stick to my M1 MacBook Pro. This gen is just two heavy (1.6kg) with much reduced battery life for web browsing.
A USB A port instead of the SD card reader would have made more sense. High end cameras are moving away from SD cards anyway, and so many devices use USB A.
The problem with this is the price. Far too expensive.
Hi Lisa, who do you think should consider the 32GB RAM model? I am a student going into engineering and I am not quite sure if I need it.
I still love for 13 inch MacBook Pro I have one. I can see the computer Lasting me years to come
Would love to see a 2019 16 inch vs 2021 14 inch! More power in smaller body?
But again, perhaps you are currently at a school and do small projects. After a year or two you are going in a college and your projects size increased drastically. What to do? You can’t just buy more memory and solve the problem. You need to buy a new computer and sell the current one. So, do you want to be a bit future proof? Buy 32Gb.
I know good-looking or ugly is a subjective term. But that Notch on a laptop, oh, come on, apple!!!
Is it good for blender3d?
Hi, Lisa. Long-time fan here. Just wanted to say I love your work. Love the style. Love the substance. Love the enthusiasm. Love the geekery. God Bless!
Awesome T-shirt, as always.
well.. I’m keeping my MB Pro 13″ M1 2020 , no need that highest specs yet, BUT I’ll buy your T-Shirt immediately IF you want to selling it 👍😁
looking your t shirt, can’t stop laughing 😀
