Fantastic video and breakdown. I’m an engineer and love how thorough your videos are. I feel like stills photographers get left out of so many reviews because so many reviewers focus on video editing performance. Hi Art,

Would please advice any real good external SSDs? I’m gonna get a maxed out MM M2 Pro with 2TB though. I wish I could afford 4TB. So, I’ll need some external options for photos and videos.

It would be nice to see some footage of editing in Lightroom. Because importing/rendering/exporting does not feel slow, as long as one is not watching at a timer. But jumping between high-res pictures, doing basic editing, applying masks thats where the small delays can drive one crazy. My machine swaps like hell during those tasks while its not getting hot at all. So I’d assume the amount of memory is the only thing that matters. Or is it about faster memory?

Interesting that in the C1 export chart, the M1 8/8 Is faster than M2 8/8. I guess it’s because the M1 SSD is faster than the M2 for these particular two models? (256GB vs 1TB)
