Can you please help me! I am debating on spectrum x360 and Mac book pro and I am going into college for photography and business what do u think is best???
Real world performance, I can say that the 4 port model runs cooler in day to day use. I speak from personal experience. From web and youtube browsing with lite graphics editing occasionally, the base model with 2 ports felt uncomfortably warm about 30 minutes into whatever I was doing. Mind you I do multitask a fair bit, but the most intense thing I was doing was either sprite work in Aeseprite [basically photoshop for pixel art], or tinkering in Effekseer. [particle effect creation software] I haven’t done any video editing in ages so I can’t speak to render times, but most videos I’ve seen on the topic comparing the two devices do place the higher end model completing renders first. Though only by a fairly small margin. [videos being around 10 minute long typical youtube videos.]
That uncomfortable running temp was the reason I returned the 1299 model primarily. When getting the more expensive model, I opted for more storage because of a rather nice $200 discount I was able to get, making for an essentially free upgrade from 512GB to a full TB ssd. Since the upgrade general operating temps have been much better. Audio quality is also marginally better. Still the same wack webcam though. Why does my $300 surface go have such an amazing webcam compared to this macbook pro that cost almost as much as my desktop?
I still dislike Apple as a company, because of a lot of things. But as a computer my macbook is really nice, I’ve been amazed at a lot of things, including real world battery life vs claimed battery life. I am in fact getting very close to the claimed 10 hour battery life, and since I don’t use the thing all day every day, I can end up going a few days between charges. The cold boot time is about on par with my desktop, but the sleep boot time is far and away so much faster. So a lot of the times I just close the lid throw it in its travel bag and come back to it later. I’m far from a mac guru, but my recommendation is to the higher end, however. If you can survive on the base model and do not need the larger storage capacity, or the larger volume of ram, go for it. If you need more storage or more ram, you might as well just go for the higher end model. On that note though, if your looking at customizing the higher end model beyond just the 1TB ssd upgrade, seriously consider the 16″ MBP, Unless you absolutely need the super portable 13″ size.
Hey guys I need a laptop for trading and was looking at this. There’s either the 1.4ghz 8gb ram 512gb MacBook Pro or the 2.0 ghz 16gb ram 512gb , which one should I get?
So you weren’t actually disappointed since you threw in a “but” in there. That erases “I was a little disappointed…”
I need help which one do I order fam
