You can lock out touch screen shutter release.
This is not a serious title !!i still use 2 D700 cameras for paid work ,the D850 is an absolutely new camera
Wow. Greate short movie man!
Where did you get a D850 for £1800 was it a used one?
I just got a D850 as a higher resolution version of my D500. It if funny that they threw in the same orange 3-legged thing L-bracket. Makes it easy to differentiate the two cameras in my bag. lol
Ben!
I have a D7200 it has been my only camera for the last 6 years and have been saving for a D850…I CAN’T WAIT to get one!!
great review and FIRE photos man!
Ben thank you for your honest review…
Yes the D850 is “old tech” but it just works. I’ve been shooting a D700 for twelve years and have wanted a D800 ever since I first heard of that iteration. Now that the D850 is becoming so affordable I’m again thinking seriously of purchasing one. Not as a replacement, but as an additional tool in my bag…
Subscribed as well.
I owned a D810 and a D7100, which is basically a cropped version of the D810. I recently traded one of those toward a D850. I have about twenty F-mount lenses and just do not see going mirrorless with Nikon at this time or any time in the next few years. I have kept the D7100 even while also adding a D500. I use all of then about equally and they even compete with my Pentax K1 and Olympus OMD system. The D850 is without a doubt the best body I have used. I purchased it for about half of new cost and it had an unbelievable low shutter count of 357. It’s a keeper for many years.
A straightforward video without any messing around. I’ve just swapped my second 810 for an 850 and so far it’s living up to its expectations. I think it’s fair to mention I also have Z6ii’s with a few Z lenses but the 850 is my go to for the studio and events. For me I find it more reliable to use than the mirrorless.
I just got back from a photo shoot with my D850 that I bought last year. And I am captivated each time by the beauty of the images he brings out for me. I love this body, the best I’ve ever had, despite also having gone through the Zs.
Just got a Nikon D850 Body brand new in 2022 and it’s the best camera investment I’ve ever made! Just couldn’t get rid of my beloved D3S and D7100 with a collection of 28 manual and auto focus lenses to go to Z series Mirrorless and new lenses. Getting the D850 was the right choice with the amount of F mount lenses I have. The best feature for me is the focus peaking and the sharp results I get with 1980’s manual focus glass. Taken Some amazing pics with my 20mm F3.5 manual focus and my 135mm F2.8. Best portraits ever with my 105mm F2 DC and 180mm F2.8! I won’t be selling my F mount glass and will only go Nikon Mirrorless if they build a body with a screw drive AF adapter.
This was us today!!! 😅❤️ D850 for photography and for now a Sont Zv-E10 for video.
Thank you for this wonderful video. A question: today is June 27, 2022. Here in the USA, the Nikon D850 body is being discounted $500. I have a D850 which I bought only last year in 2021. They say that there will be no new DSLR’s. Do you think it is a good idea to buy a second body as a back up? (I do not intend to go mirrorless but I do have a Zfc which I like a lot.) Cheers.
I just bought D850 a few weeks ago, upgrading from D7100. Now trying to figure how much money to spend on FX lens since the majority of the ones I own are DX. I want to get one of the prime Nikon G Series 1.4 lens. Loved your video, thank you.
Think about this. A used Z6 is 1100 USD, then you need FTZ to use all my nikon lenses, 250, then i need a QXD 299. So no im at 1700usd, used a D850 is 1750 usd and i can use my lenses, and use an SD card. I use Black magic for video and i have a z6 but buying another didnt make sense when the 850 is bettet photo quality
I have had mine for 2 years, it is the best. If it stops I will get another.
this has got to be worst intro I’ve ever watched
Old school??? What? So something 5 or 6 years old is “old school”? The old school in photography will be early 2000. And, in everyday life, 40 years ago. Nikon D850 is not old school. Mirrorless cameras have been around way over 6 years, so are they considered “old school”?
Hi Ben. Are you using your old DX lenses with the 850, or did you have / get FX lenses? Regards. Adrian
its unfortunate about Nikon, they have bad white balance in auto mode. makes the camera useless and a big pain . not going to get such an expensive toy when it has bad software . not sure what nikons problem is, they do this to just about all their dslrs. sticking with my simple 5dm3, it does the job excellently and no worries about one of the main functions , white balance is beautiful.
