Because today, while on a long car ride back from my grandmothers place, I finally, after years, got my little sister to watch anime and guess what anime we started watching together? THAT’S RIGHT, HUNTERXHUNTER!!!!!
Can’t believe Togashi-sensei is back and continuing HxH! As someone who only started watching anime towards the end of 2018, HxH always seemed like this old classic to me, a series from before my time and never would I have imagined I’d see it being worked on and continued in the present!
Anyway, _another amazing arrangement!_ This ending is so good, I’d actually have it stuck in my head before I had even watched the show, just from some cover I must have had heard of it somewhere. Save to say it could be quite frustrating at times not knowing where that godly melody playing in my head was from haha^^’

HxH was the first manga series I’ve ever bought as a kid. I remember how excited I was every time a new magazine was published. Hopefully Togashi-sensei feels healthy enough to continue his work.

So happy to wake up to find this! 😀

I love this arrangement, especially that hint of sadness that made it so much richer. Though Hunter x Hunter is a shounen manga/anime, through all these years, both the characters and the audience has grown up (partially thanks to Togashi-sensei’s years-long breaks). So now we know life is much more complicated than any binary concept like black/white or good vs. evil. This by all means gives us a more colorful & subtle texture as human, at the same time there is a sadness of something lost in the path of knowing that. Well, that being said, there is a part in us that will always stay shounen, represented by the happy portion of the arrangement.

So Animenz, when you played a preview of this at your 12th anniversary live, did you foresee this day would come?
Though you had only a few days since the news, this arrangement is really accomplished. So I imagine this piece probably has been cooking at the back of you head, just waiting for Togashi-sensei to be back :b

I hope this time Togashi-sensei stays on Hunter x Hunter long enough that we get new season(s) for anime (=more Animenz HxH arrangements), also wish we can all embrace both our shounen and grown-up self 🙂

I was told for years to watch hxh and i watched a couple episodes, found ti boring and drop it, one day i said “im gonna watch it complete”: best decision ever! This is my fav ending.
