Japanese kanji characters are used to describe Nen. Therefore, Japanese people can understand Nen explanation just by looking at the kanji.

Each kanji(漢字) character has a meaning, and that’s the interesting part of this conversation.
For example, 舌 (zetsu) means to speak, but 絶 (zetsu) means to refrain from doing something.

The dumbest thing about nen is that not everyone in the world knows it. You have this class of supermen that can do magic and are immune to bullets, and anybody can learn it, yet nobody outside that group has heard of it. But the world of HxH doesn’t make much sense, barly nobody has any survival instinct, or any knowledge of the world they live in.
Also, what’s with Hisoka’s invisibility technique? He never does that again.
