This song has the most impactful climax I’ve ever heard in a song. It’s actually just amazing. It feels emotional even without context and I love that they come back for round two with a second blast of the climax. The rest of the song really serves to highlight that one moment too. The quiet creepy melodies that shift into gentle ones, the mix of haunting strings, playful flute, somehow gentle trumpet and other brass sounds, built up and crashing into the forefront with the cymbal and percussion (which had been missing until that point) punctuating it, then holding that intensity in a melancholic fanfare. Genuinely brilliant.
