We are talking about Audiotechnica M series here, no need to mention complete name each time you refer a model, jus say m20, m30 etc.
thanks edward 🙂
Have used M50x for about 5-6 yrs now. Yup, same ones all that time. I only just needed to replace the ear pads today. Not only do they sound great, but they also last a LONG time! So glad I got them instead of the other ones I was looking at.
which headphones would you recommend for djing in a club booth?
You get a bag with the m30x! Lol. There are no mics on any of these?
which one of these is best for general music listening? needing a new pair for my reaction videos aha
Great review! Thanks mate!
This was extremely helpful, thank you. I think the M40x is what I need.
I have the budget to buy M50x. Which one do you recommend M40X or M50X? Also please let me know if M50X is better than M40X when it comes to sound quality.
My man has a cool Kiwi accent XD
Cheers cool video, which ones would you recommend for drummers in a live performance setting???? 😀
I’ve ordered my Korg Kronos with the M50X ☺️
M40X was fine for everything I wanted to do as I knew the
sound of them. I added the M50X when I needed lower frequency
information. Again, if you ‘know’ your room / headphones, anything
will do. Advanced visual scanning and comparison tech can be used
if you are really paranoid about the mix! Enjoy! 🎧
M40X is a winner. I know a lot of people like M50X because it kinda too loud, but M40X is decent. My mix has gotten betta with M40X. BTW the ATH M40X they also twist.
Hey! Congrats for the excellent review! Thank you so much and geetings from Brazil! 💚💛🇧🇷
How u Have only a few tens of thousands of followers, you are doing an incredibly good job. which would suit me when there is no limit to the budget and I listen to music and play synth
Used m20x for 5 years
Stil going strong
If you just want a budget option for casual music listen/movie watching/gaming it’s hard to go wrong with the M20x, for the price they’re fantastic.
I like that the ATH-M40x swivels and I love the fact that you can detach the cable and that it includes the coiled one. I have a set of SteelSeries that swivel that way and believe it or not, it makes it easier to put on or take off even with one hand. Also makes it easier to hang flush to my wall. Of course my SteelSeries are much more light and comfortable, but I use those for everyday use on my laptop. They also have the removeable cable and this is awesome because you can use any cable you want (any type, any length). I currently am using a coiled “griffin” cable I had around and it has worked awesome cause i don’t have cables on the floor or on my lap. I own a pair ATH-M20x ( I use these for recording and editing my voice overs) and although the long (attached) cable may come in handy at some point, I usually work at my desk recording voice overs and the cable just dangles on the floor or I have to wind it up and hang it from a pushpin on the wall. I have at times (and by that I mean all the time) run over the cable with my chair and I have to say that it has held up fine over the years. The other thing I don’t like about the cable, however, is that it has become hard and brittle near the headphones gradually getting worse over time (about 2 feet now). This makes storing them harder and it’s just annoying. Also the cushions are starting to crack, but that I did expect of course. They sound great though. I will attempt to replace the cable at some point and of course the cushions should be relatively easy to replace if need be. I have a couple of older pairs of AT headphones from the early 2000s. They were about $70 ea and also sound amazing, but the cables started to fail. I need to replace those cables or connectors eventually. I’ve been looking to replace my ATH-M20x for a couple of years now and I am leaning towards the ATH-M40x just because of the swivel action, and the detachable cable option and the fact that it comes with 2 and one is coiled, perfect for using at my desk. PS Also the ATH-M20x are starting to crack (the plastic) where the metal headband meets the plastic on headphones.
usselles viedos like many others
