The *ORA Sound GrapheneQ* should have been on this list. It’d probably blow them all out of the water in both SQ and features for $500. 😉

And if you’re including the airpod pros, when on sale, the AKG N5005 uIEMs corded or with the included Apt-X BT adapter will definitely blow the airpods away…not exactly an apples to apples comparison, but in terms of SQ, for sure.

Something about the 6xx I just don’t like it. I heard it at RMAF with you there actually and was not happy with them at all. Good thing sound is subjective and that makes it my opinion.

I’m kind of glad AirPod Pros made it on. I know most would snobbishly overlook them and not that they’re audiophile grade but they’re good, they’re easy, and they work well.

I have Andromeda’s but sometimes it’s just easier to bust out my AirPod Pros for more casual listening or watching videos.

Thank you for your hard work. I just purchased the SENNHEISER HD 58X JUBILEE and I read that it sounds the same as the SENNHEISER HD 6XX HEADPHONES. Would you agree? There is a $45 price difference, so not a big deal, but if they sound the same I’ll stick with my original purchase.

A great thanks for your reviews, which I find really useful. I was wondering whether you could give me a hand in selecting a pair of (preferably) open-back headphones under $600 (£500) to use with a digital piano. My piano is the Kawai ca58 which, according to the manufacturer, performs extremely well with headphones. The sound of the Kawai is very expressive, lively and rich. I would like to find these qualities when listening to the piano through the headphones. The impedance is about 47 ohms. I am still trying to find out from the factory what the output voltage of the headphone amplifier section is. I could let you know what it is if and when I get this info. I imagine that I will be needing a low impedance type of headphones, something easy to drive. The recommendations online is in the range of 35 to 65 ohms (the piano is supposed to have a switch to accommodate “high impedance” headphones, that is above 100 ohms. However, I am not sure what to think about this feature, whether one can rely on it or should rather ignore it). To help me select suitable headphones, I have been listening to many reviews, including yours, but I remain a bit confused and unsure about what to go for, knowing also that the reviews are not targeted at users like me. So, if you could come up with one or two recommendations, that would be really, really helpful. Thanks 🙂
