Mine did after a week (from new)
I went straight back to my HD600 I’ve had without issue for years🤷‍♂️ Says it all really🤔

I owned elegias, tried my buddies celestee and clear and they sound nice. But goddamn do i hate that company, theyre basically hifiman but like to pretend they’re a luxury brand

Be careful with Focal. Their headbands are hot garbage. It is made out of such a flimsy combination of plastic and metal. If you own one, be very careful. Don’t use any pads that would be thick and heavy either. You’re going to increase the chance of it snapping, especially if you hang it on a stand.

Like everybody said about the Focal Clear being the successor of the HD-600, these are good headphones in their own right but NOT a replacement of HD-6** series, the soul and essence of the HD-6** is its midrange which is unique and not even headphone costing 5x its price has that midrange, so if you want the HD-600 midrange buy the HD-600, that’s it.

Let me suggest a supstitution with similar tech, but robust, with miles better QC and cheaper still: Austrian Audio Hi-X65.

I’ve had an Elear with Utopia/Clear pads since April 2020 that are still going strong. I’m aware of the issues that some people have had, but so far so good with mine.
