I always wanted a IEM thats open back. If there’s any good sounding ones out there, I’m open to suggestions.

My left ear canal is different than right one and I’m not really keen about sticking something in my ears. I prefer headphones, especially open backs – can spend hrs with something like HD600 on top my head. On top of that, there is question of hygiene – ear infection, no thanks.

IMO it’s hard to find a better sounding set of headphones for the money, than the HiFiman Sundara’s. I’m one of those people that can never get a good fit with iem’s.

wow…well since we are being honest: IEMs sound to me like they have a 2D soundstage and dubious imaging [like having a shoestring line between your ears with sounds appearing along it but never above or below or well separated] until you get to eye-watering price ranges, and at such prices they can’t compete. I recently demoed some in the 3000-4000 price range like the Lime Ears Anima, and glad I did because all it told me was I can save money for headphones or actual speakers.
