If a Zephyrus g14 and Sony 1000xm3 were 20% above full retail, I would still choose that combo over this overpriced surface monstrosity. That said, good production quality on the video..

1. Surface laptop 2 i5 ($750) renewed
2. Surface laptop 3 i5 ($1150)
3. Surface Go ($400) renewed
4. Surface Go 2 ($750)
5. Surface Book 2 i7 ($1500)
6. Surface Pen ($100)
7. Keyboard type cover ($100)

Any other suggestions are welcome I just want a good productivity laptop for university and some photo editing as well as a device that I can hand write on. I know the surface book 2 covers all that and has deidicated graphics and that’s what I’m leaning towards now. My only concern is that it is 8th gen Intel and I don’t know if that will hold up for 5 years.

Another suggestions for devices are good although I am trying to stay away from Apple as I do not want to get sucked into their ecosystem and I already have a newer android phone.

Really like your reviews, could you maybe do one on the MSI GL65? Thinking of buying it over the Alienware M15 as it is soooo much cheaper and has same specs but want to know if there is any sacrifices. Thanks.

I have to wonder if you really used SB2 ? I mean,who doesnt understand the purpose of SB series. Its not to deliver the worlds best power. There’s a reason why all components are in the screen except dGPU etc. Come on Dave. I was little disappointed after following lots n lots of ur reviews. It almost felt like you dont know why sb series even exists.

There isn’t any more powerful surface tablet, if you want something powerful in this Formfactor.

8core CPU would be sick but for now I don’ts see a big difference to the sb2

Hey guys,
I’m currently a student going into university and I want to buy a laptop. I found a Huawei Matebook D14 (2020) selling for £599 that is running an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor and Radeon™ Vega 8 Integrated Graphics. Do you think I should buy it, keeping in mind that I wanna do some gaming on the laptop (such as GTA V) and will want to keep it at least for the next 5 years or so. Any help will be appreciated ☺️
