0:15 Never heard someone refer to the Surface Book as a “power tablet” with a base instead of as a laptop or 2-in-1.
It’s closer to an iPad Pro in category than a Dell XPS
But that’s exactly what it is and totally changes how I look at the Surface Book line. It’s an extension of the Surface Pro.
This reinforces my belief that MS needs to release a workstation product with a 45w cpu.

Some questions/comments about headphones because Dave was brief:

1) Are ear cups still removable? On last year’s model you could remove them and Microsoft would even ship you replacements for free in warranty.
2) is Cortana still always on by default?
3) is there an app now? For users outside the US there wasn’t a phone app you had to connect to PC to configure settings/EQ.

99% same design, still no Thunderbolt 3… Absolutely no worthy upgrade to surface book 2. Should be called… 2.1 (or 2.01…)

Should I get this or laptop (XPS or macbook 16 or thinkpad) + ipad pro and pencil for university notetaking, math software, AutoCAD and lots of media consumption? How good is the display and the speakers compared to the macbook pro 16 and other high end laptops for watching movies and videos(color accuracy doesn’t matter)?
