It takes some time to switch GPUs from external to internal, hence the delay in detaching!

Not very impressive premier pro render time compared to last year. Sure wish you could have shown a few more comparisons between the 1060 and 1660 in this to see just how much better it really is.

For all of you claiming that the Surface Book 3 is the end all be all 2 in 1… Ask anyone who has owned one for any conciderable amount of time what they really think about it. I have had the 15″ Surface Book 2 for 2 years, and to keep a long story short; it’s GARBAGE. On paper the hardware looks pretty good, having the fuctionality to take the tablet off, being able to flip it around or write on it, the full GPU in the base sounds like a dream come true. The reality however is far from that. The software…. you know, the software you think would be updated and stable because its a Microsoft product is consistantly behind every releases and has always been bug ridden; including but not limited to a bug that stuck your CPu at 400mhz. The GPU disconnects a lot, you have to clean all the connection points on a regular basis, even if you don’t take the tablet off very often. The hinge design means if you travel with your laptop that your screen is constantly dirty. If I had a nickel for every time I had to reset the bios to get the external GPU to show up again…. Needless to say, its junk.

I already have the Surface Headphones 1 so I don’t think I need an upgrade, but my Surface Pro 4 definitely needs to be upgraded to a Surface Book 3
