Without the gpu and amd 4000 with better igpu you would get twice as much battery. Microsoft should have gone with team red too

How do the headphones compare to the Sony XM3s? The shitty mic on the XM3s and BT4.0 are its biggest downsides.

MAIN PROBLEM with any surface device is – once the battery is gone, there is no battery replacement program/service. The only option you left with is replace with a refurbished one for wopping 600$. Now imagine spending this bomb within 3 years of your purchase. Serach for the ‘battery buldge’ problem in surface pro 4, all are bricks now. Btw even if you get a spare battery online on ebay, there are 80% chance you will break the screen while opening the device.

Never really understood the appeal of the surface book, it doesn’t look nearly as nice as the surface laptop 3 (The standstone version, ugh, so aesthetic) and loses in a power contest against many different equally priced and even lower priced laptops, and now, it costs 1600$ at the base model. No thanks

Having owned Surface Book 2, here are some common issues not mentioned in this video:
1:53 NVME write speed is still slow.
2:35 In addition to the delay, there is also a message that prompts you to close all GPU-related apps (sometimes it requires a restart). In my opinion, 360-hinge is more intuitive.
2:56 The base can’t charge the screen.
3:20 Ntrig pen is still not as responsive or precise as Apple Pencil or Wacom.
3:23 The screen is still reflective af.
3:48 Trackpad is small in today’s standard, also stiff and loud to click.
In sum, the form factor that made the Surface Book line successful has become its limitation. I’d expect competition like the upcoming XPS 15 2 in 1 7590 to surpass Surface Book 2 as the best overall productivity convertible.
