When I’ve flown with these the air pressure differences, especially at take off and landing, is messing up the automatic anc-adjustments. Resulting in a very odd variation in volume.

That and the automatic turning off turns off the headphones while using… Not great. Should be fixed with firmware update.

Otherwise. Fantastic product.

This is a bullshit video immediately. He didn’t work out in them, he didn’t take a bus to work and wore them because he either has a car or works from home. He’s not taking constant phone calls like he says he is. None of that. Stop with the lies to make yourself seem more credible.

How does sweat interact with the swipe gestures? My phone doesn’t like moisture on the screen when I’m using it; I have a hard time imagining that I’d have a good time with headphones that have to be controlled by that kind of mechanism. Same with the cooking scenario; if you wash your hands, do you have to realllly have to dry them before trying to swipe a gesture?

Been using the XM5s for about a week now. They have been great overall, but I find that in some instances the automatic ANC feature struggles to give enough noise-cancelling for my environment.

I prefer the manual optimising feature of the previous models. Just my opinion.

I’m loving my XM5’s but there’s this very strong chemical smell I’m getting tired of. It smells of.. rubber/plastic and soap? it’s hard to describe. At first it was the brand new smell and I loved it but now it’s overpowering. Anyone else experienced this?

Great review, but if you are working out in these you are asking form them to break. I really don’t recommend sweating alot in these, I did that with my WH XM3s and the earpads rotted away very fast…
