If you are using USB C instead of a wired jack while charging and listening etc you will destroy the lithium battery so much much more quickly. It is never a good idea to do this.

You neglected to mention another design flaw: the ear cups fold out the wrong way when they’re around your neck. Can’t believe they copied this defect verbatim from the Bose 700’s. 🤦 Also, they look like a shitty knock off of the 700’s generally. Hard no for me!

Why does this guy say “1000 X mark 5’s?” I can’t find anywhere on the web where they’re referred to as “mark” anything. Why would you add on to the long ass name, anyway? This is coming from someone who has the WF1000XM4’s.

They are good headphones but to be honest with you they’re not that much better than the xm4s. They are definitely not worth $400. I would say if anyone wants to buy these wait for a deal. I regret buying them for $400. I have several issues with these headphones. Quick list: they speak to chat function is still a gimmick and it doesn’t work well. If you are using noise cancellation while you’re in your car with the windows down there is a shift in the noise cancellation also they’re a little pockets of wind that will seep in behind the ear cups. I don’t have that issue on my Jabra 85h and those are at least 3 years old. The swipe pad is very wonky and inaccurate. However I do like the improved microphones and the improved sound quality. But that’s not worth $400.

Not sure the size is an issue – bigger Yes but flatter to fit a back pack, case or brief case probably better

In Germany the cost difference between these and the AirPods Max is only 30 Euros. Which one would you suggest? For me Sound Quality is the most important factor followed by Comfort, Build Quality and ANC respectively.

6:18 I don’t use touch controls because as a leftie, I often swipe or cover with my left, it’s the same issue I have on XM3 or XM4.

There is a problem with having a phone conversation in a “quiet” environment and a colleague is sitting 3 meters next to you and talking. Then the colleague’s voice will be very clearly heard by the person you are talking to on the phone. Here, the Bose 700 is still the king !!!
