love these headphones! i can agree tho sony did miss on these features like the triple tap and the app. that is why i love apple products because they have features that are helpful and just wished other companies can take from that and build useful features and not just a simple headphones. Great Review!

Its great for short train rides and for work in office, but I wish it was easier to carry around. Have to strap it to a handle of my bag, since its uncomfortable around my neck.

Completely disappointed when it comes to microphone use while on video calls. Will not spend $400 on headphones if I have to use external microphones during meetings for work. Returning these headphones in no time!

I have tried Sennheiser, Bose, Apple, Parrot and Jabra. THESE are the best Headphones money can buy! Noise Cancelling is on a different level. Transparency mode is very good! Comfort is unbelievable good – I can put them on for 8+ hours. And call quality is even better than some dedicated conference headsets. And the headphones support 18W charging which no one is mentioning and is a killer feature.

Imo the QC 45 ANC is Superior and the headphone is more comfortable, the only down said to them in my experience is the call quality for the other person, my friend has the same pair and it’s not great, the QC 35ii were better in that department. I bought the XM5 to see what the hype was about, I can say call quality is better BUT I cannot stand the AI ANC I just want the thing on full blast at all times none of this up and down crap it’s annoying. The ANC on the bose is about 5% ahead of the XM5 imo.

One thing I’m not seeing being mentioned anywhere is the insane amount of audio delay. It is VERY significant when on bluetooth. If you use these for gaming, buy a decent length aux cord because it is bad. Not sony’s fault really, just bluetooth slowness.

Did you have a chance to review kz t10, or maybe somehow to compare the experience of use? I just know KZ t10 is about more premium materials, but the quality of sound and other features, which Kz also has, not as good as Sony. But I am asking from practical perspective… to use it as a headphone in office, during the meetings…

My xm1s are cracked but love their balanced sound. Just yesterday on the plane I am hearing details in songs I’ve never heard before. Bass very well judged, I understand the successors went too bass heavy. At duty free found the 5s and in the black they are such finger print/grease magnets?! Actually thought the finish cheap. I was surprised the departure from the prev gen. Maybe I’ll repair my OGs again:(

I am looking to buy my first pair of ANC headphones, as the loud announcements every 20 seconds during my daily train ride drive me mad. Will these be able to block out such noise?
At the moment, the only way to try to ‘drown out’ these announcements, is to listen to heavy metal at very a loud volume on my cheap headphones.
I would like to be able to listen to softer music like jazz on my train ride – will these be able to perform well while blocking out the train annoucements?
Also, do these have any indication of battery percentage?
