if you’re considering either of these sets of headphones, you don’t know anything about audio. this is straight trash, and this channel has exposed itself with this video. after watching this, i wouldn’t trust anything anybody on this channel has to say.

Very useful video thank you but I still could not decide which one is better. It seems Sony is cheaper and has some better feature and I want to buy a headphone specially tons of phone calls and Webex meetins.Acccording to these needs it seems despite of cost Bose is better option for me. I have apple earpods and plantronics headphone – it also good but sometime it’s voice not enough. Is anyone here to bring some comments please ?

It’s weird because I feel as if XM4 has the better noise cancelling. I have tried both and with the 700 it just… didn’t seem to do much. It was like any old 2010 headphone with padding as their noise cancelling feature, very underwhelming to me. Whereas with XM4 it near completely cancelled every voice, mind you this was just by having them on my head and not playing music, I could still hear some loud noises but if I have music playing at the same time I can’t hear anything.

I had both, but the Sony have a failure. I owned them for 9 month and then the ANC did go wild. I had on the right speaker always a very loud and penetrant white noise. That failure is known on these Headphones, even the XM3 have it. Now i have the Bose 700. I have to say beside from the Failure from the Sony Headphones, that Sony is better. They are much more comfortable, the ANC is better, Sound is better. Bose looks better, but the Sony are much better in everything else.

You can bypass the power on/pairing mode button presses on the XM4s using the built in NFC chip. Just put your phone on the headphones and they’ll automatically turn on and pair. And when trying to pair to a new device, it’s just as easy, just tap the phone to headphones and when the phone asks to pair just tap yes

You’re good! I appreciate the honesty of your takes and evaluations. In someone else’s video, we listened in a noisy environment in real-time to SONY WM4 vs BOSE700, and the noise-cancellation of the SONY was immediately, noticeably superior to the BOSE.

You can enable/disable Sony’s “speak to chat” by holding the right pad with 2 fingers. And yes you can still turn off noise cancelling by covering the right pad

I really do love the Sony WH-1000MX4, but I just couldn’t like it because of its lack of water-resistance build. Despite that, I really love to buy these headphones.

I’m late to this but I bought and returned the xm4s and chose the Bose 700. XM4s get louder and are more comfortable but I prefer the ease of use of the 700s. When it came to bass, yes, XM4s were deeper but it was like a flat bass. To me, the XM4 bass notes reminded me of hitting bass notes on a synthesizer vs Bose bass made me feel like I could feel the drum

So to round up guys, should I buy the bose or Sony please?? Or is there another headphone that’s great to buy?
