I watched this video like 2 months ago and ended up getting the XM-4’s. I came back to write a review because that’s how good they are. I previously had the Bose QC II’s. They were really good, but I constantly had issues connecting to my (Samsung) TV which was super frustrating. And the battery didn’t last particularily long. The Sony’s beat them in almost every way possible. Connects to my TV and phone instantly and without issue, and the sound quality is almost unbelievable. I can listen to a song I’ve heard a hundred times and it feels like I’m listening to new music because I hear so much quality that I never heard before. I even hear sounds in the background that I don’t think that the studio meant to record. The ONLY place where the Bose’s are better is the comfort of the ear pads. The Sony’s aren’t firm enough and make a slight crinkly sound when you move your head. I don’t know how you have an oversight like that when designing headphones but here we are. The Bose’s are firm but comfortable and feel cooler around your ears.
So. The Sony’s are absolutely amazing if you can afford $500 (CDN) for headphones. But about the earpads… does anyone know where you can get more comfortable replacements?

With the dual inputs, can you listen to both at the same time? For example, an Audio book on your phone, and quite back ground music from your PC?

Yes, this is a very niche case, but one that comes up for me a lot as an issue.

Hi to all. I just got my pair of xm4s today and they are some very cool headphones. Let me say about the call quality I saw some reviewers were worried about. I have no idea of how the quality of calls was with the xm3s, but it is really good with the xm4s. I don’t think most people will have any issues when needing to make calls. I like that the connect app is accessible with voice over which is what I use when using my iPhone 8. Music on these headphones is great. Also, listening to audio books also sounds really good. I got these through an amazon credit card which allows for me to pay these headphones off in installments. I did enjoy the review. It is pretty cool if you swivel the left earcup away from your ear, you mute yourself and the other person during a phone call, or my audio book will stop playing. Just swivel the earcup back over your left ear, and your voice will be heard during a phone call, or your audio book will resume. Very cool.

Well appreciate your review sir. I am currently in the market for wireless headphones. You have now completely helped me with some questions I had about them. Just one other topic you didn’t touch upon was the volume control. And how much of a pain it might be to turn them down when needed to. What is your Opinion about the volume controls. Is the touch slider sometime unresponsive??

2 questions : Does it support well the cold weather ? Cause the M3 goes ham when you are near 0celcius the touch pad stop responding and audio auto mute sometimes. Also M3 got an issue where when you pause music with the touch, if you taop again later to resume music , it wont do it. Not sure if this trigger when you have many apps open on your phone but it is annoying and rarely you have just one app open.

Does it block out children crying better? Crying children in airplanes/public drive me nuts. Those are higher frequency sounds lol
