Love everything about the headphones, but damn I find the touch controls super annoying and clunky to use. Accidentally skip a song, when I want to change the volume. Just wish they had physical controls for them. Especially when they’re around my neck and on, I always seem to trigger something. If they updated that, these would be perfect. Especially with that killer battery life

When I had a pair of the xm4’s I did like the headphone app. It did pair with my iPhone 8 with no issues. However, I returned my xm4’s based on the design of the headphones. There is just way to much plastic on them. I always felt that I could easily break them. The ear cups could just go every direction and that little pivot seemed to fragile to me. I thought if I accidently broke the ear cup, I’d have a set of headphones that were no good. I like my bose or anker headphones much better.

The review by Tech Spurt is very reliable. However, do not waste your money on this junk. The headphones are ONLY GOOD WHEN CONNECTED WITH THE SUPPLIED CABLE. As a Bluetooth device, they usually skip and stutter and take forever to connect. The useless app makes them even more useless. Also, if your Wireless Lan Device is in the same general area as the rest of your computer equipment, you CANNOT USE THESE HEADPHONES. You have to be 10 meters away from any wireless LAN device. So, don’t bother.

I just received these headphones a few day ago…and WOW! I didn’t even hide the price from my with because I think it’s worth it. My wife mentioned the price when she saw it on the delivery slip. Me to my wife: Yes, they’re expensive, they’re one of the best on the current market, and I love them! We left it that….marriage still intact. LOL

Jokes aside, I have a pair of the black ones coming, and I’m excited. I’ve never experienced noise cancelling before, and it should be useful at my job when I’m stuck in a room full of noisy computers. I had a hard time picking between black and midnight blue. Ended up going with black since I feel it looks slightly sleeker and will match clothing better.

I’m a massive fan and love mine dearly. But I fiercely piss me off that they are total garbage on the phone. They piss me off so much I’ve spent an hour bitching on hundreds of videos because fucking Sony need to get their act together and fix the shit mics. The Bose qc35ii is 1000x better for calls. Yeah maybe the anc is slightly and I’m talking a fairy quieff fucking difference. But being able to actually make a reliable phone call with the boss is the winner for me. So much so il fight the misses for the qc35ii over the 700s and xm4/xm3

There is a reason why evolution has not equipped us with the ability to turn our ears off! Out and about with busses whizzing by and noise cancelling on full – what could possibly go wrong? I’m with you on crowds – even a peace rally or a music festival always has the whiff of Nuremberg to me, but I want to keep my ears on so I can hear when it starts to turn! On top of disabling your danger senses, these make a very tempting target for snatch and grab street thieves. In short Darwin Awards (Google it) for anyone who uses these in public!

These are great! I can wear them while studying and not hear the person watching tv in the next room (which is why I bought them). I find them very light and comfortable too. Top notch build quality and nice looks.

But I’m having one major issue with them. I appear to be one of those people who get very nauseous while using anc. Reddit has numerous posts about people having similar experiences while using this technology.

The Sony’s are the first and only pair of anc headphones I own, so this tech is new to me and I have nothing else to compare them with. I’ve only used them while sitting down, so I might not have this issue if I was moving around. I’m hoping I can adjust the settings to overcome the nausea, or maybe I’ll be able to adapt to using them. If not, I’ll have to pass them on.

Something to consider for those of you who have never used anc headphones before.

Hey! Nice review cheers! Picked me up a pair this weekend in NZ and they’re awesome! Touch controls seem to work fine so haven’t had any issues there and ANC is great!
